My jg g36c is making a clunky sound when I pull the trigger and the battery connector along with the pistol grip get hot after pulling the trigger a few times. What could be the problem?

Your gearbox might be jammed. Or maybe your battery isn't charged enough.
if the battery is charged then try to adjust the motor height.
if no luck then you will have to open the gearbox and at minimum re shim the gears

if you don't really know how to do that, you should take your gun to Gearbox Airsoft they will help you.

Oh and if the gearbox is jammed you shouldn't pull the trigger alot because you can blow the fuse and possibly burn the wires.

good luck

have you had this problem before? is the battery fully charged? what kind of battery are you using? is it stock or upgraded.
these are things that you should also post so that the people that have the knowlage to help you can have the most info possible to help you diagnose your problem.
there are many things that can go wrong in a gearbox to make it lock up.
if it is not fireing right the last thing you want to do is keep pulling the trigger. it will cause further damage. blowing the fuse would be the least of your worrys. id worry more about burning up the motor, wires, or battery. if you havent worked on a gearbox before or are hesitant about working on one, then do yourself a favor and take it to someone that is good at what they do.
gearbox is in the east valley i am in the west valley and im not exactly sure where az airsoft inovations are located but any one of us can help you with you problem.
there are some problems that can be diagnosed with a small description, but this is probly not one of them.
there are a few reasons that a gearbox can lock up.
not enough battery power to compleatly cycle the gearbox.
broken shafts or minor break in the gears that cause binding.
worn teeth on the piston causeing bind.
spring guide/spring/piston bind up.
on a recent gb i opened, the oring was wedged between the cylinder and the piston head and locked it up. just to name a few.
so as i was saying, there are many reasons that cause gb lockup.
the only way to find out for sure is to have someone take a look at it.
hope this helps you a lil bit.

if your g36 has been used alot, Like over 50k rounds, and depending on what year it was manufactured. I can allmost guarantee its your Plastic bushings are giving out, or your wiring contacts failing.

I highly doubt its your motor, that is becuase the JG, and Echo1 clone motors are Some of the most reliable motors on the market, They can handel anything you throw at them and I'v rarly seen one burn out.

If the Gear box has been worked on previously, that could be your problem but i highly doubt it.
Like was mentioned, try a different battery and if it is still the same result, take it some where and get it fixed.

I can allmost guarantee its eather the bushings, Or wiring harness failing, as that is the most common problem that causes that version gear box to just make the click click in the Grip area of the gun.

Or it could be the dumbest problem in the world, with your trigger disenguaging on the contacts prematurly, Or a broken anti reversal latch.
little more info would help alot more.
