Classic Army's G36a...
« on: June 16, 2005, 08:48:03 AM »
I plan, (on pay day) to purchase a high dollar A.E.G. for my primary, and am looking at a few....I love the M4..dont get me wrong, (I have a Bushmaster and an Olympic) but I am seeing tons of them out there and want to be different.  I saw a really nice and (seeming) quality made G36 at Jungle Toy here in Tucson.  Its 350 for a whole bunch of stuff and the AEG, and am wondering about the quality and longevity of this gun...any past or current experiences with it would be helpfull...if not I will go with the Classic Army or Tokyo Mp5Sd5. Input appreciated!!   :D

It was once believed that Chuck Norris actually lost a fight to a
pirate, but that is a lie, created by Chuck Norris himself to lure more pirates to him. Pirates never were very smart.

For what its worth, so far I havn't heard anything wrong with it.  Being a CA, the only thing I'd check is to make sure they didn't put a spacer in the spring to make it shoot higher.  I don't even know if they are still doing that, but me freinds CA M-4 had that.

You cant go wrong with a G36!!!  I have never used a Classic army model. However, I have heard good things about the Classic army model with it having 7mm brushings, and a heavyer body. The only negative thing about it is, that the mags have weeker springs. so its best to purchase Marui mags insted. Also you will have to search for mag pouches that will fit your mags. But, the mags can lock together so that is an temporary option.

I have a marui and I love it. You just cant go wrong with a gun that has a V3 gear box. Trust me it will be one of the best purchases you have ever made. If your going to be doing power upgrades in the future, you may want to get a Large hand guard. This way you can house a larger battery like an 8.4 large 1800mAh or even larger. Some people do it differently, but thats what I did to mine. In the future I am going to add a K-.R.A.S Kit.

I have one and it is a great rifle.  I previously purchased CA's M15A4 and was so pleased that I got their 36C.  When I first got it I had to readjust the hop up as it was not shooting straight.  I have also put a M12 spring in it.  Great gun.

Just picked my G36 up today...it fires beautifully.  But I am unsure what to do to install the 120 spring.  Alot to take off, I gathered.  I have my primary, secondary and pistol now.  I am ready to play!!  Anyone seen or heard of anyone painting thier 36 to match thier terrain? Desert, Woodland, Urban camo?? Pics??

I'd recommend keeping it stock for now, too many problems with some upgrades.  The FPS doesn't make the player, a guy on SWAIRTAC is shooting under 250FPS and he gets a lot of kills.

Thanks Firehead for the correction. I was thinking of when I ordered it.
The CA G36c has a small problem it needs a longer barrel. Or otherwise its great.
I'am currently running a SOCOM silencer&8.4v 2800mah batt taped to the outside of the gun. If ya dont like it thats fine. It works for my taste.

Lol Busta. comon Dude you know for a fact that I have more than 3 to 4 Aegs at one time on the field. Ya cant lose, waste ammo for 1 gun, move to the next and so, on so forth.
Also if your teammate's gun fails to work you drop'em one of yours for the game.

mugen, deviate from the norm. get yourself a nice TM ak47  :D . and you're right, we need to see less m4s. but yea, that g36c you're talking about at jungletoy. i saw that early today, and i liked it a lot. i almost got that instead of the ak, and maybe i'll make it my next aeg. sorry, nothing informative, just thought i'd share.

Ok, I want to upgrade the spring to a 120....this seems like a hard task on this gun due to all the polymers and casings.. Has any of you done this yet, and if so, how!.
And if I upgrade the spring...should I upgrade anything else internally?  I think I may have to upgrade to a bigger battery..which means I will have to get the big batt cover handgaurd.....sheesh...
