STTI SOCOM
« on: June 17, 2005, 10:12:06 PM »
As everyone who knows of me realizes..I love my SOCOM.  I love it soooo much I bought another one.  I have the Infinity tactical dropleg holster w/spare mag pouch, in olive drab, and am wondering..does Infinity make a left hand rig so that I can go Twin SOCOM?  Has anyone done this yet?? and If you have positive or negative info or input about the STTI SOCOM, you're comments are welcomed.

It was once believed that Chuck Norris actually lost a fight to a
pirate, but that is a lie, created by Chuck Norris himself to lure more pirates to him. Pirates never were very smart.

I would not tell to many people that you have twin snakes.

Most other gear makers offer the option of a left leg, try blackhawk. OR get rid of your infinity gear and get HSGI, Eagle, Tactical Taylor etc...

I'd say "WTF, bro?" but hey, if this floats your boat, go for it!

My question is this:  By "SOCOM", do you mean the Mk23?  If so, and assuming you want 2 of them, I recommend the Safariland 6004 or other SLS holster for the Mk23.

The reason being that I have seen many problems with magazines being released accidentally from Mk23's in cheap holsters.  Because of the Mk23's magazine catch design, it's necessary to have a more rigid holster like the Safariland.

Now, are you prepared to spend about 90-100 dollars on each holster?

Oh, and I am obligated to present you with the Lara Croft award for n00bish dual pistol-ness.

My comments on the STTI/TM Mk23...worst trigger, EVER!  Other than that the gun is great, for a NBB gun.  Id say go with one GBB and your game (number of kills that is) will improve greatly!

I have thought about this, and I have came to the conclusion that 1 SOCOM is enough for a back up.  It dont hurt to own 2 of them "just in case" but to play with I would only need 1....to re-load I need both hands...and I would not be able to re-load with twin SOCOMS easily..I would have to put down 1 MK23 and reload it, then do the same for the other...meaning I will have to stop moving...(dead duck) instead of continually moving, getting spare mag out removing spent mag, and inserting full mag...and have better tighter shot groups with less wasted shots.
