Offensive??
« on: August 21, 2005, 12:53:18 PM »
It comes to my attention that I had offended someone in this grand sport, and would like to formally appoligize if I had in any way shape or form offended you...that goes to ALL of you..I am truly sorry for any miss understandings, rude comments made on the field. I will try to control the demeanor of my play, and speach...The last thing I want to do is make anyone upset at me.

For all who know me, I try and get along with ALL of you...and go out of my way to introduce myself to new people to help to make them more comfortable in the new surroundings...and offer advise and support.

As in all sports..(and fellas this IS a sport) there will always be a compettitive spirit within. If the "rough" language gets to you...then maybe another hobby like knitting or baking would be in order. But as for me, I will try to control it, and not offend you soft eared ones...

Again, I am sorry, and lets not cause needless DRAMA to get in the way of our beautiful airsoft relationship.

It was once believed that Chuck Norris actually lost a fight to a
pirate, but that is a lie, created by Chuck Norris himself to lure more pirates to him. Pirates never were very smart.

Don't be sorry, bro.

If anyone was offended by Frankie, get over it.  Guys don't come any more sincere than him.

As honorable as your apology is Mugen, I am of the opinon that If something was said or done during the heat of Battle offended someone than perhaps you were correct in suggesting an alternate Hobby or sport.

Top notch Mugen.  There's nothing more honorable than apologizing when you felt you made a mistake.  That's part of what honor and integrity are all about.   [smilie=armata_pdt_34.gif]

  While I agree in part that people need to just let the "language" slide, I should point out that fights have started on airsoft fields because someone let thier mouth slip a little too much.  I myself do not want to be;

A. Breaking up a fist fight,
B. Having someone charged with assault, or
C. Having the sport tainted because of a fight.

So, the best way to avoid a trap is to know of its existence.  Therefore, it would be far better to encourage our people to avoid foul language and promote honor, integrity and proffesionalism... something that we are supposed to be all about last I checked.   [smilie=armata_pdt_34.gif]

Heh, at the last game, I found it hilarious to watch Andy Hinds trying soooo hard to replace cuss words with something more benign when his pistol took a dump.. Ya had to be there.  ;)

FWIW, I think if we just leave other folk's mother's outta our smack, fistfights might be a non-issue?

Happies,
Chip

all i can say is you dont need to apologize for anything, your a great player and a good friend. but people are people, some get offended easier than others and its admirable for you to make up for that.
