TOP M249 SAW Part Two
« on: May 21, 2003, 03:00:22 PM »
I started a new thread because of how crazy the last one got.
I seriously may end up having to sell this gun.  Long story, doesn't matter.  I'll list the details here and leave it at that.  The gun rocks.  It shoots at 385fps with .20 BBs and does so with awesome consistency.  It is extremely accurate.  It is fully upgraded with a crazy-long list of parts.  Available on request.  The box mag holds 2500 rounds and feeds them perfectly.  It can fire at least 300 rounds before you have to hit the winding button beneath it, so it is more than practical enough.  It's heavy, but heavy duty.  Very well built, mostly metal.  I have two box mags, one needing some work.  That one, though, can take a standard large battery pack in the box itself.  I have a good sling for the gun, too.
The gun does not come with any batteries because the packs that I bought with it are not powerful enough to run the gun.  It is set up now for using a large pack in a battery bag strapped to the stock.  (bag not included...it's not mine)  (You can always buy the full US version stock that houses a large pack, too) The wire that is running outside of the gun is simply clipped onto the inner cable, and can be removed in a matter of seconds if you get a strong enough AUG pack.  Those are designed to fit inside the front handguard.
I have never had more fun firing an AEG, and this is by far the most effective gun in AA right now.  It isn't a boastful statement...it's simply true.  If you have not fired one, you don't understand.  I would NOT want to come up against this.  It is more accurate and more consistent than any of the guns I have played against, and it can drop a solid line of fire on opponents that even upgraded AEGs cannot match.
It is not for little guys!  It's very hefty...around 20 pounds with the box mag fully loaded.  Until your arms give out, you'll feel invincible.
The bipod is sturdy and stable.  It tucks away nicely underneath the front hand guards, or snaps out for use with ease.

This is a maybe at this point, but a likely one.  I don't want to see a ton of posts on this thread stating how sad everyone is, or how you'd like to buy this if only you had a job, or any number of other unrelated posts.  I won't know for sure until after this weekend, so I am taking it with me to Lion Claws 2 in CA.  Once I know for sure, I'll announce it here, and I'll leave it exclusive to AA for a few days.  After that it'll go to Ebay.
Price will be $1100 firm, and that is less than I paid by far...and MUCH less that you would spend to buy this all new and upgrade it yourself.  The upgrades cost over $250 in parts alone.
If I don't have to sell it at this time, I'll keep it and smile broadly.  If it has to go, I'd like for it to stay in AA...so long as the buyer ends up on my team!!
Thanks,
-Kyle
