Well, I had fun at my first game hosted by AAMike.  Hopefully next time there will be more Marauders and more of my team to practice.  There are Pros and Cons about playing with minors, but the fact that we all seem to have had a good time is what matters.  And damn Arizona... soooo hot!  Thanks Mike, for making the game happen, and giving an interesting storyline/scenario.  I also had fun shooting with Spaz... you're one bad-ass wingman...

Oh yeah... and did anyone find a dummy grenade in the Southeast corner of the villiage inside the green building?   :(

Yeah that was my first organized game ever, it was fun but I had to take of some fo my stuff because the heat. Silent Dragon were you the guy "going ghetto" wearing a white under shirt with the AK-47?

"going ghetto?"  It was like... 120 degrees out there!  Running around with an 8 lb. weapon and about 10 lbs. of gear on your shoulders doesn't make it any better either.  But yes, that was me.  Which one were you?

Yeah, ill Attest to the gear/heat factor.

Today (sun game at sudden impact) was hotter than fourpeaks in early may. However i had shorts and a shirt today.

Last time i had bdu pants and gear... Man, what a difference with out the stuff. Even with the higher temp it was still better today cause of the lack of gear.

Humidity may play a roll (four peaks is probably more humid than a paint ball field, bushes/little valley and all)

Thank you to everyone who braved the heat to come out and play at Southwest Paintball this weekend.  I hope everyone enjoyed the new scenario game format as much as I did.  Marauders Airsoft will hold a running story line all summer long that follows real world events in Ramadi, Iraq.  Arizona may be hot, but think of our service members who are in serving in combat zones under worse temperature conditions the next time you play in the heat.  For those that missed the first installment of Operation Iraqi Freedom, here is a brief synopsis of the event.

Saturday, June 3 1020 hrs, Ramadi, Iraq
Intelligence sources in the city of Ramadi indicate that insurgents plan a large offensive against commercial locations in the city.  US and Iraqi military forces move to secure the oil processing plant and docks.  An attack by a small group of insurgents against the oil processing plant is easily halted.  However, this attack was a diversion by insurgent forces to draw US and Iraqi personnel away from their initial target of a cargo ship laden with ammo at the Ramadi docks.

Insurgents initially meet strong resistance at the docks, but soon claim the cargo ship and off load the vital ammunition and weapons.  US and Iraqi forces consolidate at the oil processing plant and survive two waves of suicide charges by the insurgents.  The battle comes to a close at 1130 hrs.

1200 Swamps of Ramadi
A US patrol is ambushed in the swamps of Ramadi and five soldiers are pinned down by a large number of insurgents.  The five soldiers radio for assitance to US forces at the old Republican Guard Palace for rescue.  However, the insurgents overwhelm the patrol and capture the five US soldiers.  The soldiers are moved to an abandoned building deep within Old Ramadi.

1245 Old Ramadi
The impossible happens!  A small group of US soldiers is able to fight through the insurgents’ defenses in Old Ramadi and recapture 4 of the captive US troops.  All US forces extract to the security of the Old Republican Guard Palace.  Intelligence sources indicate that the fifth captured soldier has been moved to an insurgent stronghold in Ramadi.  US troops fight for over half an hour to breach the insurgent defenses.  Although, multiple incursions are made into the insurgents’ town, US personnel are too drained from the heat and battle to rescue their captured soldier.  The day’s action ends at 1330 hrs.

JOIN US FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER OF OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM ON JUNE 18TH (9 am – 2 pm)

A sweater? My god, why would you wear a sweater in arizona? Ever? What was your logic behind that one?

I think i may head up for the next game guys, hope to see some of you out there. I would have come, but airsofting two days in a row in that heat would have probably killed me.

I think he wore his sweater so if he got hit at close range it wouldn't hurt or something like that. In the begging of the game we (the insurgants) tried to take the docks (a boat) but from the side it looked like a big house. I thought it was a house ran right up to it at got hit like 20 times in 2 seconds...anyway were I got hit I wasn't wearing my jacket it was just skin and it hurt soooo bad.

Eh, ive never had anything too painful in airsoft. Nothing that was more painful than anything i got in paintball, thats for sure...

I would much rather get a nice welt/bleeding welt than die of heat stroke.

Anyways, to each his own....
