Sniper Program at Southwest Paintball April 9

This five hour class introduces airsoft players to the proper use of airsoft sniper equipment and tactics.  This program explores the appropriate use of snipers in airsoft games through multiple exercises and drills.  Students will participate in:

•   Sniper equipment selection
•   Fundamentals of marksmanship
•   Tactical use of snipers in airsoft games
•   Individual movement techniques
•   Reconnaissance tactics
•   Long distance firing exercises
•   Field exercises
•   Missions based on real world record sniper engagements

Participants are encouraged to have an airsoft weapon capable of firing at over 400 fps.

Training is conducted at Southwest Paintball, located near 200th Avenue and Bell Road.   Program is $40.  Players may stay and play at SW Paintball until 8 pm.  

Those who wish to play at the field may arrive at 2:30 and pay $20.

Players interested in attending the Sniper Program should register at Jungle Toy or SoftAir Depot.  There are only 16 spaces available at the class.  

After the event, the field will be open to anyone who wishes to play airsoft for only $20.  Games will be held from 2 - 7 pm.

Yeah, it does.  Southwest is a cool field, too.  Question... are sniper rifles available to use during the training, or is it only for those who have a sniper rifle?

There will be at least two sniper rifles available for students who don't have a rifle.  This is a great way to try out some equipment and tactics before investing into new guns.

Airsoft games at Southwest Paintball are open to players 10 and up according to the field owners.  All participants are required to have a Southwest Paintball liability waiver completed prior to playing.  Minors must have a parent/guardian complete the waiver.

All participants must have sealed eye wear.  Minors must have full paintball style masks.  All weapons must chrono under 365 with .25 bb's.

Mike, I don't own a crono, but will a gun shooting 400 fps with .2s be allowed?  Will .25s be under 365?

Also, I own an SPR that's shooting 400 fps.  Is the sniper training geared towards bolt action rifles or will an SPR be a sufficient weapon for this training?

Participants of the training program may use any airsoft weapon of choice.  However, I highly recommend using a dedicated airsoft sniper rifle.  The SPR will be fine.  You may have a slight advantage during some of the exercises due to the semiauto rate of fire.
