Anyone know how to fix this?
« on: January 22, 2007, 08:45:12 PM »
I have a battery issue as seen in the following image.  How should I go about fixing this?  If I can't fix it, who can I take it to that can fix it, JT, SAD, Batteries Plus, what?

Yes you'll have to resolder the wire to the battery.  It will involve cutting some of the heat shrink back and pulling up the cover tabs then resoldering, waiting and re-heat shrinking the battery pack.

Tempe JT is an ass long time away.  Besides, he still hasn't got back to me on my USR-11 (No offense Paul, I know stuff gets busy what with the moving) How about somewhere local.  I'm from Scottsdale.

Well, you could try Batteries Plus then, although I don't see Tempe JT as being that far..I've driven from Scottsdale JT to Tempe JT before, it takes like 20 minutes.

As an aside, I was there when you brought your USR-11 in. That was not that long ago. There are people with guns ahead of yours.

Yea, every time i've taken a gun to Paul, there have been a bunch of other guns in line, but that says something about the kind of work that Paul does.

Got back to you.
If you bring the battery by here I can solder it back in place while you wait.

I took it to Batteries Plus, and they re-soldered it, and put some glue and new wrap to make sure it doesn't happen again, and all for free. Now that's customer service.

They fixed my battery that I didn't buy there for free. Also i asked them if they carried Deans connectors also called T connectors. Then their like we don't do airsoft stuff. So I asked them if they knew what that was and they said no. Other than that they are good.
