APS2 Hop Up not feeding
« on: May 23, 2011, 05:32:42 PM »
So my UTG L96 is equipped with an APS2 hop up.  Everything fits together nicely, and it fires.

...80% of the time.  The other 20%, a BB seems to jam itself right under the hole of the barrel, locking itself in place between the wall of the hop up chamber and the head of the cylinder, as shown here:

I have to take the mag out and poke the BB with my finger to get it to seat correctly:

I have tried different brand BBs and different mags.  What could I do to fix this problem?  I have access to a mill, so cutting the aluminum hop up is no problem.  Could I perhaps make the chamber hole into the barrel slightly bigger and ramped?

Yes, PDI Hop up chamber.  Should've mentioned that.

Hmm I've never seen anything like that happening. I could meet you at gearbox to take a look at it or if u want to come to my place. I live in east mesa. I've dealt with the pdi hop up units quite a bit so I might be able to help you but no guarantees.

The only thing I can think of is that it might be an allignment problem because the pdi hop chambers in my opinion are the best and I've never had a problem with them before
