Simple upgrades- easy to do?

Hey I am looking to buy a tight bore and an m120 spring and I am wondering how complicated they are to install?  Can someone with virtually...........NO experience in taking apart his gun accomplish such a task?  

And If i do upgrade the spring, do i need to upgrade any other parts i.e. gears, bushings, etc.  

Any help is appreciated.  Thx.

It realy depends on how well you are around other things. Can you change your own brake pads? Can you open up simple machinery and put it together in working order? If you can answer yes to these things then you may be capeable to take your gun apart and put it back together properly. The worst thing to do is just start taking it apart and throw it all in a pile. Do your homework! find some schematics of mechboxes on-line (google search "airsoft mechbox diagram"). Once you have an idea of what parts you should be finding in your gun then you are ready to start taking it apart. make notes as you go on where things were taken from, and in what arrangement they were at when on the gun. The hardest thing about cracking open a mech-box is the fact that you have a lot of things that involve springs, the tappet plate, the anti-reversal latch, the piston and spring, the safety and trigger assembly. All those things will unravel as the sides of the mechbox are split apart, but can all be put back in order previous to reassembly. The hardest things to do when you are reassembling the darn thing back together is that you have to make sure that: the pins line up for all teh main gears, the safety latch tends to bend down in the way of the box sides, and the main spring wants to blow out the back of the box. Do this, have a small screwdriver that is the same diameter or smaller than the gear axles so that when you are trying to line them up you can nudge them through the bushings into place, have your thumb or finger holding the main spring and piston down on the half of the gearbox that is down (open it with the piston pointing to your right and the trigger on your side like the pic at the bottom). You will get the hang of it after a few trys, but do not force anything and refer to my comments here if you get stuck:

As for the tight bore, it is pretty straight foreward. remove the hop up assembly. Remove c clip take old barrel out, remove bucking form the old barrel
take care to locate the little tiny hop up tube thingy(tiny tube shown in pic next to the larger bucking tube), place bucking on new barrel, make sure the bucking is in the right place and reassemble. The little tiny bucking hop up actuator needs to be placed in the little cradle that the hop up small half circle part that is in the upper right blue plastic thing)

once you have that back together, adjust the hop up and make sure that a little indentation is made in the top of thebucking when the hop up is engaged. Then reasemble like normal. If all this makes no sence to you what so ever, thne you may need to have a professional do your upgrade service.

Thx man, thats some great information.  I think you may have convinced me to let a pro do this first upgrade but that info will come in handy in the future, thx.  

Anyone wanna tell me how long it should take a fairly experienced person to do these so I dont get ripped off on labor costs?

I can take mine apart and do simple upgrades or repairs and completely reassemble in just under 2 hours, thats if I have all the new parts in hand and im not rushing the job. i think couple hours labor is reasonable.
