S&W 4566 45acp semi auto pistol. It's an all stainless steel single / double action with a Commander length 4.25" barrel, hammer drop ambidextrous safety, uses 8 round mags and Novak medium three dot style sights. This one does have a mag safety, so you cant fire it with out a mag. Sorry no box

I think its a CA because it lacks markings, and the mount is for a rail and is a G&P.

Colt 1911 pistols hold there value very well, and if the parts were installed by a compitent gunsmith you are good to go. Springs dont cost much to change, and need to be changed every so often. I just changed out the recoil spring on my Springfield milspec. I hope to one day get a nice Colt, Ed Brown, or even a Les Baer in the future. But, I own a Springfield Milspec, and did own a Loaded stainless model. I Currently have a Kimber Pro II being tuned, and upgraded by Nelson Ford. I am a total 1911 junky, and I can be picky in what a 1911 should have in terms of being a carry gun. For what you would pay out for a Colt 80,the upgrades the gun currently has, and the work to do it would cost you far more than $800 bucks. If its not to ruffed up, and works flawlessly once you change out that spring than you did great. Had the current administration not been elected, and not suffered an knee injury. I would have focused on buying more 1911's rather than all the evil rifles I have in the past year. Springfields are not the best, but they work, and I had to start some where.
