Airsoft Items FOR SALE / WTS: Green MOLLE Plate Carrier *Price Drop*
« on: August 07, 2009, 09:29:30 PM »
For sale is my Foliage Green MOLLE plate carrier.  This was custom built for me by David (Ganef) 2 years ago for LC:VI.  I have used this plate carrier less than 10 times, and it is in brand new shape.
Comes with:
-3 2-M16-mag holders
-1 dump pouch
-1 utility pouch
-1 custom-made EMT/first aid pouch
-1 pouch that holds a Nalgene (or anything that is the same size as/smaller than a Nalgene).

I paid $250 for everything, plus another $30 for the EMT pouch, totaling $280.  I'm willing to part with it for $150.
I would prefer not to sell everything separately, but if you really want to part it out, PM me.

Please note: hydration carrier is not for sale.

As you can see from the picture, the EMT pouch is extremely legit.

Originally designed to go with ACU...

...But it looks fine with Woodland.

I'm sort of tailoring it to deal with leg injuries since the last couple of times I've been out, I've hurt my foot/calf/knee.
Has it ever been something serious enough to require a splint?  That's really the only thing I can think of that you would use to treat a foot/calf/knee injury, except maybe an ACE bandage.  Unfortunately, they're both pretty big even when rolled up.

My other concerns are that I've heard there are some problems with bees at certain AOs, AFAIK I'm not allergic to bee stings so I think I'll be fine, but I'd still like to be ready for that.

What exactly are you thinking?  There are two things I can think of that might come in handy for bee stings.  The first are those anti-sting towelettes, but they don't treat allergies.  The second thing, for a serious allergic reaction, would be an Epi Pen.  I'm not sure if you have any medical certifications/licenses/degrees/etc, but Epi Pens require a prescription to purchase.

Good luck, stay safe.

Is anyone going to be carpooling to the AO?  My car hasn't been doing too well lately, and I don't want to take it off the pavement.

Also, I remember last time there was a game at Four Peaks there was talk about not being able to park at the Conoco, does anyone know about this?  Where can I park?

Just my two cents, but when I was in the Maricopa County Sheriffs Posse, it was a joke. 80% of the people involved were well over 60 years old.  The training was extremely watered down, and some crazy blue haired bitch nearly hit me in the head with a riccocet on the firearms range.  She was drawing her weapon and shot a concret side walk, and the round wizzed between my head and the guy on my right. If you want to impress the local academies get a college degree with a good GPA and stay out of trouble.  MCSO is way too political, and not very well respected because of Arpio.

Interesting, thanks for the input.  I saw some photos of one of the groups, and I got a similar impression.  I was hoping I'd be able to keep my EMT skills sharp by joining the Medical Rescue group, so I'm thinking I might do a couple ride alongs with them and see if they're any better.

isnt it in Tuckson?

Tempe.  I think it's on Southern, just west of the 101.  Someone else should have the exact cross streets.

General Off-Topic Discussion / Sheriff's Posse
« on: March 07, 2008, 11:02:27 AM »
I've been thinking about getting in to the Medical Rescue Posse, a division of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Posse.  They're willing to help you get accepted in to the posse if you volunteer for them, and I've been dying to get some hands-on experience with my EMT cert.

Does anyone have any experience with the Medical Rescue Posse, or the MCSO Posse in general?  Does anyone have any advice?

Join the Posse and you can carry anywhere ....

Are you referring to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Posse?  Do they really make a CCW exception for their members?

My first ever airsoft gun was an EBB (electric blowback) and it was $20.  Not worth it.  I should have saved the money for more BBs, cuz I could throw them faster and more accurately than that gun could shoot them.  (That's almost not an exaggeration.)
