Nope, and the only reason is that I just don't have 16 hours to spare.

No, I haven't.  I'm waiting to see what the NRA does with the AWB (Sept) and then in November (endorsements of candidates).

lol!  Well, the NRA hasn't even endorsed a presidential candidate yet.  I'm not a fence sitter, as I know where I stand on the issues, I am just witholding my monetary support of the NRA until they make a couple decisions.  Barring any under-the-table deals by the NRA, the AWB is dead.  I'm waiting, just to make sure.  I think that once the AWB dies, and the NRA is assured that it's dead (mid-Sept) then they will endorse GWB.  I'm waiting to see what happens with this.  [:p]

And if for some God forsaken reason the AWB is revived and they don't endorse anybody what will you do?  I don't understand your logic in holding out?

I joined, its only 25 bucks, maybe your extra 25 dollars is what they need to fight the AWB.

AS far as the ccw goes, I think its harder at the SGC than other places.  Shifty said his was cake, and if you failed, you could redo it.  He also said it wasnt timed.  Its not supposed to be timed, but at the gun club they tell you to shoot as quickly as possible, and its not just 10 rounds at each range.  They tell you where to shoot, like a mozambeak (no clue how to spell that).  The half of the class that I was with passed no problem, the other half had a few that got to redo a few shots.  On top of that, everyone was extremely nervous, you had to do everything the way they said to do it, including standing nervous at low ready for 5 minutes without moving and inch.

Joey,It all depends on your instructor and the place the class is taken...Iam guessing.I took mine at Red mountain firearms training academy in AJ.The guy who ran the class was a retired Tempe detective, real good guy.He worked with everyone who needed it and let the ones who did'nt just do what was needed to qualify...no more,no less.

Harley isn't your Colt a little hard  to conceal carry, and very heavy?

Not a bit, that's why I chose a Commander instead of a full size 1911.  I also have a custom made holster that sits higher on my belt for conceiled carry.  I like a heavy gun, less felt recoil for quick follow up shots.  I use to carry a light weight Colt Officer's model but I found it too hard to control.

Harley, is the commander anything like the defender.  Im thinking about buying a compact 1911 in the future, and I saw a colt defender at teh gun club.  I like kimbers, but I dont like all the fancy **** sticking off the back of the gun.

Oh yea, I carry a Sig P232 in .380 auto

Quick question, my instructor told me that .380 is actually 9mm short (which I allready knew), he went on to say that 9mm is .356 (or .357)  If .380 auto has a diameter of .356, why do they call it .380?

Bushmaster AR-15
Remington model 1100 12 g. with the trap and shoot barrel and the barrel for shooting slugs
My first rifle was the Bushmaster and my dad thought I was nuts, he said it was ugly, and might shoot like ****!!! Well lets just say he had a change of heart, and was converted when he started shooting it!!!
