Classic Army M4 Chamber clearing
« on: June 03, 2012, 04:09:20 PM »
So I have a classic army m4 and I've noticed that when I take my mag out there's a BB left in the chamber that doesn't fall out like the rest (hi cap mag) how do I clear this without firing it?
Thanks,
Birdman.

Unless you want to carry the unjamming with you every time you use the gun, yes.

Yeah, unfortunately airsoft guns don't work like real firearms in that if you rack the slide/bolt back it ejects the round from the chamber. You have to dry fire your gun without the magazine in (or with an empty magazine) to clear it.

Well I have little siblings running around the house and as I keep my guns put away (and nobody in my house even knows I have them) It's nice to know this now so I don't assume when I remove the magazine all the bb's are out and somebody ends up getting hurt.

If that's the case I would also suggest removing or disconnecting the batteries when storing the guns.

I actually haven't thought of that. I keep the mag out of my pistol which has the Co2 can in it so that's taken care of but I totally forgot about the battery in my M4. Thanks, I'll remove that now.
