Polarstar low air consumption setup. What am I missing?

(1/3) > >>

Ivan:
So I have my p* sitting like this.

Red nozzle
.35 poppet shims in stock poppet
80-90 PSI
AK inner brass barrel

Still shooting 380 with .32

Is my inner barrel too long or should I get a gold low flow poppet?

Dayton:
Get a tight bore barrel and rhop.

A standard hop up nub has to pinch the bb really hard, and hold onto it for quite a while, causing wasted air to go right past the bb for a bit.

Same thing with your barrel, if the bb is loose, air goes right by it, wasting quite a bit. Pick up a Prometheus 6.03

What is your idea of low air consumption? What tank are you using and how many shots are you getting out of it?

ravensquad:
Why would you be shooting 380 with .32's? That's way too hot for fair play if it's not a DMR...

Oh ya, that too. :)

Ivan:
LOL! I don't want to be shooting 380 with a .32

I chronoed that number before I replaced the 6.01 barrel with a stock brass 6.05+ m4 length and have to recheck chrono.

I am using a 4500/90 tank with an AKA SST reg.

My goal is to use 80-90 psi to be in the 400 fps field range limit with a .20. I was under the impression if I used a red nozzle and shimmed my poppet I could achieve that.
