Ya, the selector plate is close to the only thing you'll need. The air nozzle will have to be swapped and I'm thinking that should be it. I have pulled SCAR v2 gearbox shells and used the shell in an M4 body and some of the holes for pins and stuff didn't match up. However that could just be a result of different brand receiver and gearbox.

Turn the gun upside down like you have it in the picture. Then fill the hop-up feeding tube full of BB's...should be around 4. Then fire the gun, while upside down and see if you get a jam. If it is your mag it should not jam.

Yes, Sounds to me like a feeding issue. Either that or a hop-up system that fully engaged and not disengaging. If it is a brand new gun seems unlikely that it is a gearbox issue. I have always had issues with CYMA M14 hop-ups, and mags. I have a mag that feeds the BB's in poorly and the BB's either roll out the barrel, or jam until I swap mags. I agree with Katana, make sure the mag is seated properly.

How high do you have your hop-up turned on? Turn it down all the way and then try it.

How full is your can? And just because your gas is warm the gun needs to warm as well or else you will experience the cool down effect. How long have you had the gun?
