OPEN INVITE TO OUR 5th BBQ EVENT 5-8-10 0800 hrs, registration is important for you to be counted for lunch, which will be provided for you. Entry is $5 per person reguardless if you want to bring your own lunch. Also if you will not be attending and you have already signed up you need to cancel before the event or you will be held responsible for your entry fee.
Check in will be from 8 am to 9 am.
Have any weapons you plan on using ready for chrono when you check in. That means ready to fire without ammunition. We will chronograph with our .20 ammo.

once you reach the canal, go west along the south side of the canal, take your first left after the second cattle guard.
you will need:
water,
fully charged battery, extras if you have them
and plenty of ammo
tables and chairs for yourself if you need them
portable awning if you have one
$5 for entry. this includes a lunch consisting of a burgers,hotdogs, chips and drinks. you will also receive a raffle ticket with your entry.

also same rules as always, no full auto weapons over 400 fps with a .20 bb. semi is limited to 450 fps with a .20 and single shot snipers are 500fps with a .20. all rifles will be chronographed. eye and mouth protection are required.
YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IF YOU ARE 13 OR OLDER IF YOU HAVE YOUR PARENT ACTIVELY PLAYING ON THE FIELD WITH YOU. EVERYONE 18 AND OVER ARE WELCOME TO COME AS USUAL.
OPERATION MERCURY:
With the announcement of the Titan Missle Defense System by the Tan Republic,
The United Empires of Green launched a tactical assult on two secure locations housing
the Titan Missle Defense software. The obective; to steal the software in an attempt
to use the Titan system against the Tan Republic.The attack was swift and brutal leaving
nearly all of the Republic defenses destoyed. As a direct result, Tan has lost control
of both locations. Although The United Empires of Green now control these locations, they
have only been able to access one part of the System software. It has become clear that
during the attack one of the security officers holding software keys was able to escape
the attack and report back to HQ.....
The war has begun.
After word spreads of the open attack on the Tan Republic, citizens are outraged and demand
swift retaliation. There is no diplomatic solution that will put the Tan Republic at ease.
On May 8 2010 0900 hrs The Tan Republic will declare war on The United Empires of Green.
Republic military advisors plan to recover the Software locations immediatly. Time is of the
essense, The United Empires have already sent a team of engineers to the software locations
in an attempt to bypass the locks on the second software location. Tan must move quickly to
stop them from getting to the software. A main strike force has been deployed to regain
control of the software locations. An artillery squad has been deployed to stop the
engineer's vehicle before it arrives.
Tan objectives:
1.Stop the Green Engineer's vehicle
2.Regain control of the Software locations
Green objectives:
1.Hold the software locations until the engineers arrive and are able to retreive the software
2.Escort the engineers to the software location
3.Escape with the second software.

This is funny, because when I went on Myspace, I had an IM from him. Saying some bullshit about this. Like how you can't discharge real firearms, or airsoft and paintball on state trust land. Which made me laugh pretty damn hard, since the last time we saw Jason out there, he was discharging a real firearm. Such an amazing fact!

That's what i meant, I'm a college student with a very expensive taste (i.e. Airsoft stuff) and need the cash to pay for it all, but i hate my job cause they do this to me all the time but i graduate in June and then i'm going to the military or if by some luck of god i can find a job on one of the PD's here in the valley

We have to even up the teams..... That way when you guys get destroyed you will have no excuses. Otherwise we will hear "Well they had more people. blah blah blah."
Its going to be a good game either way.
Also if you don't want to be split up from your team make sure you wear the same camo. or if you are wearing normal clothes make sure its the same color so that you are on the same team.
You have been warned already teams might be split. So make sure YOU WEAR THE SAME CAMO!!!

i honestly dont think teams are that big of an issue... i mean its not like its 20 on 5, we have a decent number and with the right tactics/communication there is no reason the game shouldnt flow out smooth
i mean tan has both aegis and steelworks, i'm pretttttty sure the teamwork and cooperation between players will even the odds ;)

Well Im running in a Coyote Brown set up that happanes to have Multicam trousers, so you would have to have horrible eyesight to not tell I was tan.

I heard someone used a claymore at a Rebel Union game once before. They had it at the base of a tree where a flag was being held. After I had taken that flag out of the tree and won the game, someone told me there was a claymore sitting there. :mrgreen:

It was a good game. Food was awesome once again. The main mission would have lasted a lot long if green wasn't all at the software locations, or seemingly. Maybe if they started with 4 guys in each location. All in all it was a great day.

Another successful BBQ! I had a great time and the food was awesome! I really enjoyed the speed shooting competition, it was a great addition to the event! My only recommendation is to maybe have a long range shooting competition for the sniper rifles and DMRs; I think that would be interesting to watch as well!

I gave the camera to chris to upload pics and video, but I neglected to give him the power cord and the camera is dead. My bad guys. From what I understand there is some quality footage though so you can all look forward to that.

The shooting contest was great too. To bad my ammo disappeared. And then the screw securing the handle to my gun disappeared too. Ultimate fail :mrgreen:

Great game with a great crowd, nothing but the best from RU. Nothing but the best hospitality and sportsmanship, and the fact that you got some sponsors to give some swag for the raffle shows it as well.
I only hope that the swift victory for green at the start didn't deter any newcomers.
And congratulations to Jeremy and Manuel for rocking the shooting competition, I'm glad they're on my side =D>

Probably the best Airsoft game I've yet to attend, and the first with water balloon mortars strangely enough. It really added a different very fun aspect which I really hope to see more of (both because its awesome and its already basically summer). Once again great job Rebel Union. Ftw shirts too!

Yeah, it was fun... Thankfully it was just a simple thing that had nothing to do with the inner workings of the gun. I think that now I have a reason to practice shooting at small targets though. Perhaps my next go will be full of win instead.
