RE-SCHEDULED TO THE NEXT MORNING
This FRIDAY MORNING there will be an Airsoft match for anyone who would like to attend (must be 16 or older). We are meeting at RECKER AND THOMAS at 0800 . Walk-ons are allowed, this is a match that will be hosted by our Group we have started called ASFAO. We will be looking for members to join the group, and please note it is a low level group, nothing fancy, we're going to get patches, we play for fun, not to make a statement that we're better than anyone else. We're going to be playing until around noon or until the heat gets to us. This is NOT a mil-sim or anything in particular, just friends getting together to have some good hearted fun.
SAFETY
the usual, eye protection, chest rigs are strongly suggested (not to protect but to make things easier) boots, gloves, WATER
For people we decide to let into ASFAO, we will provide a patch once they are made, and water will be provided (its provided anyway if you really need it) and we reserve the right to decline peoples' request to join and also to kick anyone out of the group we feel has a negative influence to the other players.

Where is the AO located exactly?

Head count is looking to be around 15 so far
Once you arive at the recker and thomas crossroads you head north about 100 yards and on the left there is a park, park there and go west on foot until you see a sign at the perimiter ( its right on the west side of the dirt parking lot next to a large rock) of the grassy park, then hike out about a half mile and you'll have a visual of someone pretty soon.

thats east valley, we might show up for the hell of it. plan on getting your party busted if you are playing in a park... just sayin'
same group that rotates between that location and the one on .. guad and higley? if i remember? honestly, the guad location is way better as far as being somewhat discreet.. but hey 8)
looking at me +2 at most. since this isnt milsim we will be wearing civi's, most likely.

yeah, well the other ao is very very concealed. its hard to explain, but its like... a MASSIVE gully or something. you cant even see it from the road
just keep the tips orange and there wont be that big of a problem, if there is a problem at all. the kids play games in our huge park all the time with no issues
edit: i'll bring orange duck tape in case anyone has removed their stock flash hiders, or added silencers, or whatever the case may be.

i have never played a game in the east valley that had "proper clearance"
knowing what that clearance entails, and whos "hosting" this "game"...that is most definitely a big big no :|

along with gunshot wounds, and hospital bills! you guys should really consider playing in that huge ass gully by higley/guad..

THE AO IS NOT VISABLE FROM ANY PUBLIC AREA Quit poopin' your panies it's fine i've called the city and they said its fine so long as we don't shoot or point our guns at anyone. Usually NO ONE is back there but there is a little sewage thing where GPS guys check on it like once a month but they don't care, they asked if they could shoot our guns once.

We will play TDM, capture the flag, border patrol, whatever we decide, its just a go out have fun airsoft time for everyone who wants to go to meet up.
Someone called the cops once (you know some old people) the cop came out and was like "oh sweet! just don't shoot anyone or rOb people!" then laughed and left.
So y'all can calm down.
And I haven't airsofted at the gully behind Wallgreens in years myself, that was my brother who made those posts, I made a post explaining the whole thing but I believe only like two people believed me but whatever.

unless when they said "anyone", they are referring to people who are not participating in your event?
or you didnt call them, and are just saying that they did?

well, i got called to work tomorrow morning.

alright im feeling the need to clear the air on this whole subject. i can understand the "worries" of those opposed to our game but heres the thing, were not the only ones who go out there. in fact back in january of 2009 there was a game in this exact ao that around 30 or so people attended called either operation desert sabre or sabre hawk ( i dont remember). gurantee you can still find the old post of it. this place is completely out of view of neighborhoods, pedestrians, vehicles. infact its so out of view people go out there to shoot low powered rifles and handguns such as .22's because of a large backstop there. there is absolutely nothing to worry about. no, its not the park next to the playground. yes its a very out of the way location.

and yeah, the AO is completely out of view from the public. its not like a park in the middle of a development...

Hey the head count looks to be around 12 or 13 so show up! Sorry I wasn't here to cater your needs but its officially around 13. It will be a great turn out and won't be a 2 man game. And i have said more than once it is between 10 and 15 people.

Okay, that made it so much more clear! No sarcasm. Now, it sounds like a pretty good day... Except for the fact some dicks with .22's might come back there thinking that's what we are doing, shooting each other with .22's :D
As for airsoft1.... You should go :) I'll be going. Hope game doesnt last longer than 4 though
