Spring Power!! / a new toy..
« on: July 16, 2003, 01:01:33 AM »
I have been offered a full military classic army m24 from a friend of mine back east for a quite reasonable price of 150 dollars. It already has a new spring that puts it about 450 fps with .2s. My question is what will it cost me to get this gun to the point that it is a really effective sniper rifle, I basicly want to put the best of all parts available in it so that I can get the absolute maximum range and accuracy from it.

So those who are knowledgeable please clue me in on what im gonna have to get.

Accessories & Gear / Wanna make some cash? Fix my mag problem...
« on: July 13, 2003, 10:03:16 PM »
Well the story goes like this, I bought 12 of those new G&P 130 round standard mags, all are brand new, and I cannot get them to feed right to save my life, I messed with one of them all evening, and im just sick and tired of it. you get them all working for me, and ill pay you 50 bucks cold hard cash. The catch is, they all have to cycle perfectly, no problems whatsoever. I better be able to fill the mags full, and rip off a 130 round burst through all of them. If youre interested let me know. By the way this offer is only open to people who are 1) local, 2) knowlegable of these things, 3) I either know you or know someone who will vouch for you.

thank  you that is all

Sarge,

There are in fact 8 miniguns that are 100% ownable by any person of the general civilian populace provided that they live in a state, such as arizona, that allows the ownership of class 3 weapons ( machine guns ). The 2 most famous of these are the 2 that were owned by stembridge movie guns and were used in the movies predator and t2. The main gun, which is the one you see on screen most of the time in both movies was recently put up for sale with all of its accessories, including the back pack jessie ventura used in predator, and the asking price was 300k$, that is 300 thousand dollars. Now besides these weapons there are also about 50 of what are called pre-86 dealer samples, this means that they were transfered to a dealer, as a dealer only sample, before 86 when it was deemed that no more new machine guns were to be passed to civilians, however everything that was already in civilian or dealer hands, is kosher. the problem with a dealer sample is that only a class 3 dealer can possess it. as for post 86 dealer samples i only know of 2, one is owned by dillian precision, the other is owned by another title 2 manufacturer that does much the same as dillian precision, except they do a bit more customization and not just refurbishing.

Now on the the m134 I owned, it was in fact one of the pre-86 dealer samples, and it was never quite in good order, as I had no intention of shooting it, it was jus an investment, and whne the right offer came along, i sold it for 70 thousand dollars. Not a bad return on 30 thousand. And had it not been for my being laid off from nextel 2 years ago, that money would have bought me a nice house and car, instead of paying my living expenses for over a year. but alas I digress.

To answer your question, a civilian can abosolutly own a minigun, provided hes got the cash to pay the absolutly rediculous prices being asked for one.

Gas Powered Guns / Questions about the M11
« on: July 10, 2003, 10:33:18 AM »
I bought a used M11 with 2 mags from GAME ON yesterday and I seem to be having some difficulties with it. When i tested it out at the store it worked great but now when I was messing with it at home it seems to be buggin out on me. I cant get it to fire more than half a mag at once and im sure that it has a full gas charge, the only thing I can think of is that the gas is expanding and its getting lock up similar to a co2 powered paintball gun that has gotten too cold. anyone got any suggestions?!

« on: April 12, 2003, 12:59:19 PM »
I copied this from johns original ad from when I bought it from him a few weeks ago.

I not sure how to list this gun since it's a combination Classic Army and AE gun. The front end is the all metal Classic Army SD unit. The metal body, mech box, and full stock are an AE unit. I've torn it down completely and installed the following:

Systema tappet plate,
Systema metal bushings and shims,
Systema cylinder head,
Systema nozzle,
Systema polycarbonate piston,
Systema Aluminum piston head with bearings,
Systema spring guide with bearings,
Systema M120 spring,

Comes with 3 high cap metal mags and one 1300mah 8.6v large battery and charger, and a Classic Army box. First $250 takes it.

Also for sale brand new 3 color desert BDUs size xxl long, pants, shirt, and boonie hat, 50 bucks for all 3, brand new mil spec woodland camo assault vest, 4 or 6 mag pouchs ( i forget) and 2 frag pouchs, brand new never used, 50 bucks, email me at asmoden2001@yahoo.com  need to move this stuff fairly soon so its priced low.

First thing you need to know, this is a pure strategy game, there are no cool graphics or anything like that. However it is pretty fun and quite addicting. Check it out, its really a good time. I was sceptical at first too but I really enjoy it.

AEG's / need some advice on Top SAWs
« on: March 30, 2003, 08:15:53 PM »
considering getting a top m249 and I have a few questions that must be answered before I can do it. First, what is the difference between the m249 and the m249 mkII? Are the differences merely cosmetic? Or does one differ internally to the other? I really have to have this question answered before I can buy. Im also considering an m60e3 and would like to know the performance differences between it and the SAW. Next I would like to know what performance upgrades can be done to them, when you suggest something please include the name of the manufacturer and the site which the part can be purchased from. Thanks in advance for allowing me to once again be your personal pain in the arse [:D]

AEG's / This cant be right?!
« on: March 21, 2003, 09:19:15 AM »
well ive pretty much decided to get a CA m4, and was doing a little shopping at the Guns and Guys website, and after calculating the exchange rates I came up with something that just cannot be correct, please someone tell me what I did wrong, there is no way all the stuff I put in the cart can be that cheap.

1 CA m4t
10 regular capacity mags
2 8.4 volt 2000 mah batteries (this was the battery suggested on the airsoft elite webpage, if a different battery would suit me better please feel free to suggest)
and one charger (I forget the brand)

now just totalling up what the prices listed on their shopping cart thing said, after conversion to US dollars it came to just under 300 bucks, of course this is without shipping, but that just cant be correctf can it?!

AEG's / Does any one have a new version CA M4?
« on: March 21, 2003, 07:33:14 AM »
Just wondering if anyone has one of the newest version of the classic army m4, or atleast have some sort of personal experience with them. Im hoping to come to the game this weekend and if I do make it and there is someone who has one, I would like to check it out. Ive pretty much settled on this as the AEG I wish to get, but Ive always had a problem with buying something before Ive been able to see the product in person.

AEG's / Would someone mind making some recommendations?
« on: March 19, 2003, 08:27:23 PM »
Being that someone decided that they needed my airsoft gear more than I did, I will have to basicly start completly over. The AEG I used the most and liked the best was a TM m4(stock). I was pretty pleased with this AEG, as I am used to using that type of weapon from my days in the service. The only gripe I had about it was the battery life. Since I never really used the collapsable stock, I have been considering getting a TM knights sr16, because it has the fullsized non collapsable stock. My questions are this. 1) is the TM the best brand to buy? I will probably want to upgrade it in the future, metal body, better spring and mech box, ect. I know there are a few other companies that make m4 style AEGs, classic army, for one, and I beleive airsoft elite was going to put one out, but I dont know if they did. 2) What upgrades do you recommend for whichever brand that you reccommend? In what order would you do the upgrades, and what benifits would I get from the upgrades?

Please be as detailed as possible in your explanations, as I am still pretty unfamiliar with most of the internal workings of AEGs.

Thanks.

Having just recently moved to black canyon city arizona (just north of phoenix), I am looking for a new home to enjoy airsoft. I have been playing for a short time, about 6 months, but all my gear was stolen right before I moved here so I will be replacing it soon hopefully. From what Ive read about Arizona Airsoft, the rules posted and such, I beleive that I will enjoy the company of all the members because fun is more important than winning to me, but dont get me wrong, I am quite compeditive. I suppose it would be a good thing to give a little bit of information about myself at this point, so here goes. I am 29 years old, I served in the US armys 82nd airborne division for just under 4 years, I attended various schools while in the army, including Ranger school. Currently I am changing careers via returning to college, my chosen field of telecommunicaions is pretty much a dead horse, and since my layoff a year ago I havent been able to return to it. I would like to find a team to join here in Arizona, preferrably squad sized, but no larger than platoon sized. Being a former soldier myself, idealy I would like to find a team which has a number of other former/current soldiers in it. While skirmishing I like to approach any engagement with the same mindset that I approached real world firefights in the army. Also, after I get my gear squared away again, and am ready to apply for membership in Arizona Airsoft, I would be willing to do anything to make a contribution to Arizona Airsoft that is within my scope of experience/knowledge.

So now that I have rambled on for a few minutes, any information that anyone here cares to diseminate to me would be greatly appreciated.

hector,

Even though I beat you out the door, I have to say its a sad day for arizona airsoft, meeting you and getting to call you friend was one of the high points of my stay in arizona, if you ever need anything, you have but to ask.

Oh yeah... when is your wife going to realise that youre mine?!
