Here are a few answers to your questions.

There are plenty of areas that offer thick cover and buildings for snipers.  However, due to the cqb nature of most of the games, snipers are restricted to the same velocity guidelines as other players during public events.  We have had problems with players who consider themselves to be snipers but can't stick to the engagement rules in CQB areas.  Our staff found it easier to just require the same guidelines for all players rather than try to grant "sniper roles" to some and not others.

Directions to the game will be emailed out by Tuesday evening to those who have registered via email at MTTStaff@gmail.com

Well, this is a bolt action weapon with a high fps (550-575 w/.2). I would expect for this fps a minimum engagement distance of 175-200ft is reasonable. Capable range is about 400ft so.... can You give coordinates to the location? Is anything visible from bing or google earth maps?
