The most obvious is the shortened barrel. The magazine tube had to be shortened and the barrel brace and end cap moved and epoxied into place.
The forgrip had the middle taken out and renforced to strengthen it.At the rear the stock mount points were removed and covered with a plastic plate, that was sanded to shape.
most of my prototype work like this is done on cheap springers like this. These shottys are two for 20 bucks at JT. The cut down price was right for the cut down job. This could be done with a Maruzen CA870, but it would take a little more time and care. I did this last night between 9:00pm and 2:30 am. I was so tired I had to wait to post until this afternoon.
I'll probably do another one and do step by step photos.

Paul, you need to get yourself one of these for it to complete the look - http://www.airsoft-war4.com/photos//200510066105.jpg

Of course it does have kinda of a LSS/MASS look with the mag sticking out.

I love that M249 Christian! I've wanted one ever since they came out.

 I hope you're on green on the 29th.  :?

Neither.

It's a chunk of metal that holds a grip on.  The pics I've seen of the "real" ones are just bare metal as well.

Like the other G Grips I've made for M4s, it looks like sh*t but works very well.

My RAS should be here any minute (take your time, UPS MAN - I got something waiting for you!) and that would allow me to use other grips, but I like the ergonomics of this better, especially with that giant plastic BOX under my weapon.  This also allows me to use my bipod.

Since it was all custom, it was my shorty before I turned it into what it is. Well at least the gearbox was. Now I have my Vltor stock on it right now, because I have not worked out the wiring issue for the full stock yet and I must have some Mahhhs so I can plink in the back yard. The internals are as follows: PDI 180% spring, systema gears, sustema hopup, promethius 6.03mm X 509mm m16A1 barrel that I had to drill out the flash hider to make it fit I have a systema motor in it plus the systema bore up cylinder kit. I need to find a chrono so I can fine tune it before a game so it is legit. The metal body is G&P along with the spr front end. That is a harris bipod, and my carry handle off my AR-15 Hbar. I still need to put the charging handle back in, and get some nice glass for it. Oh and it needs paint....

Looks Like you need, or should get some higher scope rings or a mount base. Looks Good though. Perfect colors for this time of year in AZ.

Robby, you might want to put a BUIS on that LE blaster.

Question.  Why the RIS if there's nothing on it?

Very nice, regardless.

D-Bo, that paintjob will work well.

Thanks C,
I'd would actually like to put a flip up BUIS on her. As for the RIS, I have big hands and prefer the beefier feel of the RIS with rail covers on it, that and it looks so cool. To be honest I dont know any rail accessories out there that I would actually use other then a battery box, but I have the large battery ran through the back and hidden in the hallowed out mag in the mag pouch.

Ganef, I dig the multicam paint job!
