Well if the navajo event is set in stone then I'd go to that over LC.

Just as a heads up LC's events have been steadily going downhill. I'd reccommend camp Navajo but that's just me.

Ok don't think I posted this very clearly I am going for sure unless I don't get a spot in registration.
I have never been to a LC event, I've heard that it's something awesome to experience at least once
I was at Balkan Hammer II and it was awesome
I have heard from some reliable people that the Combat Challenge or what not will not be happening, because of lack of planning.
Sooo anyways post up on topic

I went to Balkan Hammer 2 also. What team and unit were you in? I was Russian motor infantry, blue 2. Does Lion claws have vehicals like Combat Challenge or is it on foot only. I don't mind that but i like to avoid California if posible so if Combat Challenge is cooler I would like to go play with them this time because my time is limited because of my enlistment hopes.

As far as I know, the Camp Navajo events are up in the air, if they are even going to happen again due to the recent split between the organizers. With only a few months to plan and nobody talking, I doubt the games will be anywhere near the quality that they were in the past.

I didn't go to LC last year but went to the three before that, they were fun but I was hoping for better local games to develop. They haven't, so I would suggest you guys give LC a shot, at least that will give some of you an idea of what some of the older members of the board have been going to for a long time now.

As for vehicle use, LC events don't involve vehicles to the extent that the combat challenge games did. You were packed like sardines into the back of a duce and that is about all you saw of being wheeled around on the field. There are a few tank-ish things that guys in cali have cobbled together but nothing to get excited about.

At LC7 I know for a fact they implemented trucks. But they packed us in and the ride sucked.

wait isn't the next one LC 8? or am i loosing it? anyway, I have only been to LC 6 and LC 7. i wasn't as impressed as i thought i would have been. especially with LC 6. 7 wasn't bad, due to the fact i played with the people from AA, even tho my gun was falling apart on me i had a good time running over the tan team.  Anyway,  they aren't the "best" thing out there. I've had just as much fun during one of Airsofter 1's events! For the most part of 7 we humped it.  The vehicles where not that great.  Convoys are pretty boring, even with night vision it can still get boring.  They were not really implemented through out the entire scenario. it was just an easy way for us to get out there and back. So if there is a closer event at the same time i.e. Camp Navajo imma be there. Not to be bagging on LC tho. I did enjoy myself.

Thank you for the clarification on that Raith

Yes I was referring to the year of 2009

I was in GROM 2 in BH

and Yes if there were/was good planing for a Camp Navajo event I would be going, but unless that miraculously happens I will be attending LC 8 for sure.

I guess my original intentions were not clear as to the purpose of this thread. I have heard that most people from AA who go end up making a big squad or what not a of people from Arizona and I would like to be a part of that quad, see who is going out to LC ect....
