A "Lost and Found" section?
« on: June 09, 2005, 12:32:47 AM »
With all the stuff we carry out in the field, mags, grenades, suitcase nukes -All have the potential to get dropped, shot off, misplaced.

Maybe a dedicated lost/found dept?

Sometimes that is easier said than done, especially when you are in the middle of a heavy firefight and have to reload. Sometimes you think your mag went in your pouch but it didn't.

After a game, if someone lost or found something, they'll usually post about it.

I guess I think the "system" is perfect now. Like, all Andys mags have Rizzo# on them. He made a thread, asking if anyone had them.. and.. magically, they appeared. Plus, I seriously doubt that having a lost and found section would work. Where would it go? Put a box in A's house, so B lost his stuff, but C has it. Now, C takes it to B's house, and A gets it from B's house. Wouldn't it be easier anyways, to get it straigth from A to C? Even having it at JT.. people do that every now and then, and that's part of the current "system", but.. take this for example.. Greg lost something (an example!) and I take it to JT, since I have it. Greg goes to Jt, and gets it.. but.. wait.. Greg lives closer to my house than to JT. Why wouldn't he get it at my house?

So, our system as of now is.. PERFECT! ;)

Thanks for the good idea, though. Keep em' comin!

Well. I have an engraver you all are welcome to use. You can engrave your name on mags And guns.

I seriously doubt people will engrave their names on their guns. And I doubt anyones ever lost an AEG. And for mags, a good ol' marker will do wonders. Same, for maybe the inside of a foregrip on a gun or something, if someone was desparate. I'm sure that..

1. People won't engrave stuff on their guns, for future selling and.. looks
2. People don't NEED to put marks on their guns, because besides stock guns.. all guns are different.
3. People don't NEED to put marks on their guns, because no'one steals AEG's.. you just don't. Same for anything.. except those damn grenades..

Thanks for the thoughts, though  ;)

...Took me a long time to consider shelling out for one of those -Eee-lek-Tronnick Dymo lablel makers. WallyWorld had one marked down, okay.

This thing makes a nice flat label with two lines. I printed "Mooncruiser"..underneath my phone number. These went on magazines, grenades, cats.. kidding..

The gizmo even  prints iron-on fabric labels, ah, ..er..just for thise guys that might lose their cammies or underwear in the heat o' battle

Now there's a great suggestion. Hmmm Mooncruiser, maybe you should put that into the tips and tricks section... better yet the noob section. I think some of them could use the help.
