Does it have some type of switch to select either 7.2 to 9.6?  If not then I would say it's safe to assume that it will charge anything from 7.2 up to 9.6 including 8.4.  I use a 9.6 charger on my 8.4 pacs all the time.  It's more important as to how much the Mah rating is as to how well it will charge or over charge the battery.

Well you have a fast charger there.  It's safe to use on you 8.4v pac.  Just don't leave it on for more that 5 hours.

I was searching for this thread since I have this charger.  My question is if Im charging a 9.6v 2700mah Nimh battery should I use the DC9v = 560ma rating for the formula (MAH rating x 1.4/ma rating = charge time in hrs.)?

Go with (MAH rating x 1.1/ma rating = charge time in hrs), it seems to work better.

Thanks for the new updated formula Harley.

So I should use the ma rating of 560 or 280?  I just want to be sure.  Im pretty sure I need to go with the DC9v 560ma rating.
