So where exactly is it on the market(website?)?  Sounds like an innovative idea and i would like to test it out for myself.

I'm interested in some of the random parts you have, namely: the remaining afg, 2 of the DE/Ranger Green longer rail panels, the shortest outer barrel (how long is it btw?), the set of upper and lower recievers, and the small flash hider/mock suppressor thing that is painted brownish.  Also would you be will to ship if I covered the cost since im in Tucson?

so what you are shimming is the hop up arm, so that it applies the hop in the same place consistently.  I cut a piece of plastic and punched a whole in it so that when i put the hop up arm in i can also put the shim in as well and it will be held in place, people use brass, cut aluminum, and also tinfoil doesn't have to be anything fancy.  If your buying parts then I would recommend brillarmory.com and clandestineairsoft.com  they give good descriptions and have a little tighter quality control on what they send out.  Also, brill armory ships super quick which is nice. I personally just use teflon tape to seal my bucking but extra compression is never a bad thing.

man this has been a popular topic as of late, someone posted about it on the AA facebook page as well lol.  To make your gun a DMR you really wont need crazy FPS or anything, the most important thing will be consistency.  Two guns may be able to fling bbs the same distance but the one that can do it with tight groupings will be more effective.  To that end, you can do a lot of little mods to help with your consistency.  Stabilize the barrel, seal your bucking to the barrel, shim the hop up arm, glue you air nozzle in place, sealing your cylinder head, and correcting your AOE (angle of engagment) will all go a long way towards making your gun much more consistent, plus with the improved airseal your fps should go up by a bit and stay more consistent between shots.  Also, I would recommend either doing a flat hop or an r hop as they both give more consistent contact and spin to the bbs.  If you just want a normal bucking then I would recommend the maple leaf 70 degree, the ribs really help with its seal.  Other than that, trigger response is your friend since you should only be shooting semi, a lipo a good high torque motor will do you well here.  (High speed gear set will also help improve trigger response.)  Thats about all I can think of off the top of my head but let me know if you have any questions.

Troubleshooting / KWA M226 PTP Problems
« on: March 29, 2015, 09:40:54 AM »
My trusty sidearm has been failing me of late and I am at a loss as to why.  When I shoot it, with full mags and gas, it will shoot once but will not recock the hammer for the next shot, I have to manually re cock the gun.  It does this for about 3/4 of the mag and then will shoot the last 5 shots or so perfectly.  It had been a while since I cleaned it so I tore it down and wiped it clean and then re oiled everything and it did not help the problem at all.  So has anyone else encountered this problem or have ideas on possible solutions?  Any help would be great.

Im a really big fan of the G3 and all the guns that share that same style,  good stuff man.

so my normal (currently only) platform is a DMR but I use the mosfet to lock it in semi,  the rules for this OP says that I will need an actual physical lockout, I was wondering if anybody can point me to a guide as to how to accomplish that or could give me any advice? I appreciate it, dont really wanna switch out my spring lol
