Dead AEG - ver 2
« on: June 08, 2013, 08:15:31 PM »
This is a recently rebuilt combat machine.
replaced spring, piston & cylinder head & air nozzle.
Probably fired 500 + rounds prior to beinging fielded today.
Around the third game today It simply stopped firing.

I opened the gearbox & all seems fine.
I tried a different battery & nothing.

I need help.  Thanks for looking,

Will there be anything visible on the trigger contacts.  They look good.  Not pitted @ all.

Maybe fuse or broken wire...
I am just a chalk line on the sidewalk waiting for the next rain to wash me off...
For the time I am here I am what I am...

Brush springs can  get hot and not hold the brushes down.
Trigger contacts can look good  and. Not make contact so  check the motor leads  for voltage .
Also check the two contacts under the selector plate (if they are there)

I rewired the trigger switch & a replaced the selector plate.
I am now getting power to the motor.
I haven't put it back together yet to fully test, but looks like it's solved.

Thanks for the help.
I'll post up when I get it back together.
