General Airsoft Game Discussion / Re: CQB locations
« on: July 10, 2017, 07:29:53 PM »
EagleEye801, yes I was a part of the Combat Challenge Events and thank you for the kind review.  The founder is a good friend of ours and I enjoyed helping to create a kick ass experience for fellow players.   I'll level with you, running large events with armor, simulation fire and pyrotechnics is a lot of work.  Many of our guys have "retired" to other hobbies after completing several deployments or continuing on furthering their careers. One of those guys was the founder who was the main drive of the events so it's been very difficult.  Is there interest from the large AA community for a resurgence?  This would probably be better discussed or polled on a new thread, as not to hijack this one. Go ahead and create one if so inclined.

It's been a long time and as we recently finished last month up with Memorial Day I want to take the time to remember a Friend and Brother who passed away after completing his mission and returning home. Christian or also known as azsarge on the boards, was a long-time member and moderator of Airsoft Arizona. He always strived and encouraged others to post meaningful and accurate information and helped to build AA's notable reputation as a place to gain knowledge and to share information as a resource for others. In other words, help build others up and not tear them down but at the same time not tolerating misinformation, gossip and rumors, which end up concealing the truth for those who seek it and are the corner stones of what is called "fake news" these days. Christian was many things and I can't think of any other way to remember him than to quote from a few others.

"We will never forget Christian, his bright personality that was like a Surefire that never needed batteries, his cutting commentary that somehow found something worthwhile out of a game with BB guns, and his incredible energy that made him climb like a mountain goat and appear where you would least expect him.
That's how we honor him, and make sure he lives on in every one of us."

"Christian, you will be greatly missed by all of your friends, as well as those people you touched every day.  You impacted the lives of many people the way you conducted yourself and interacted with others.  In my opinion you were an example for others to follow.  I am glad I had the opportunity to meet and know you.  I only wish it could have been for a much longer period of time."

"Chris was full of life, and energy, and he cherished the time he could spend with family and friends. He had a large circle of friends inside the National Guard and with-in the civilian community. His special time was playing with his nephew and niece. They adored him as much as he loved them. He and his sister had an extraordinary bond that was strong and enduring. Every day was an opportunity to him, and looking forward to the next day always energized Chris. He never met a person he didn't like, and everyone he met loved him. Wearing the uniform of the United States Army, and serving his Country, was something he never took for granted. He was an outstanding soldier and looked forward to a long career. Chris worked for Dillon Aero of Scottsdale AZ, a defense related Company. Working for Dillon and being in the Army was a perfect combination for Christian. He thought his job was awesome. His special calling was looking out for people, and doing whatever he could to make sure his friends and family were taken care of. No task was too big for him to accomplish. His smile was ceaseless and disarming. Chris was a beautiful gift from God whose life will never be forgotten. He was smart, caring, happy, and the best Son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend any family could ever ask for. We love you Chris, and will always miss you. And we shall forever cherish the time we had with you on earth."

A video to remember C-Bone, gone but never ever forgotten.

TacVille Training Center does dry paint ball and airsoft, along with firearms training. I've never been there myself but I've heard good things from good people. Looks like they are moving at the moment though and are closed.

Local Games Listing/RSVP / Re: Any Goodyear locations
« on: June 10, 2017, 01:35:55 PM »
There are no locations to play in Goodyear that are legal, even the river bed is closed off.  You will need to go to BLM or National Forest.  Also stay away from State Trust Land as shooting is illegal there too.

Sharing for anyone who cares, this is my PSA for the month.  Don't stand idle by and give up your rights, people spilt blood to protect them.  Get educated on the topics, the nominees positions/track record and then get out and vote.

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Facebook controversy
« on: March 02, 2016, 07:18:17 PM »
First off this whole action of limiting actions to this degree is plain cowardice at it's core, but it is their product to do with what they choose to do. Airsoft Arizona will always be a resource for those who choose to utilize it.  Nexus is right though, this isn't free and I appreciate Airsofter1 for continuing to pay the bills and XavierMace for lending his expertise in supporting the forum! Lastly, I appreciate all of you who use the forum and continue in further developing and responsibly building up the airsoft community state wide. Post good content and share knowledge, be a resource to others. Carry on.

If I can persuade you in any way Bronze, I wouldn't recommend shooting your gun off your apartment balcony under any circumstance.

Looks interesting, do you have any data on increased distance, fps and accuracy between different hop up buckings vs. the True Hop?  And when are these expected to be out on the market?

I don't have any recommendations for fields since I play mostly on public lands. I generally don't attend dedicated paintball/airsoft fields, nothing wrong with them, it's just not my type of game play.  My only recommendation is to get out there and try the different crowds and flavors to see what you like.

Welcome Jarvis and thank you for your service. We have many veterans, active duty and AZ guard here, I hope to see you on the field sometime.  Also If you are looking to join the AZ guard there are no better people to talk to than SSG Dilello (andrew.t.dilello.mil@mail.mil) or SFC Keenan (shannon.keenan@us.army.mil)  Both are good guys who won't lead you astray and will help you along with your goals.
