Title: Important Fightertown Message
Post by: Fightertown 1 on July 15, 2012, 04:14:18 PM
It has come to my attention that a airsoft player stole Steve, our hot dog guys tip jar.  He is 100% sure he knows who did it it.  We do not have a name but he can and will identify the thief when and if he comes out again.  You know who you are so please save yourself the embarresment of me confonting you in public and consider yourself banned from the park.  Steve does not make alot of money out there and he is more than willing to help people out with giving food on credit if soembody does not have enough to pay for it.  He has seen people pay for 1 drink and take 2 and he keeps his mouth shut because he really likes the airsoft guys.  So please just take what you pay for.  And to anybody who even thinks about stealing from other customers and or Steve, I will call the cops on you and Im sure charges will be pressed.

Thank You
Henry

I would have to agree with That Guy on this. Steve has always shown me courtesy and respect. From what I know he doesn't work for Henry, he comes out on his own will to watch and socialize with the paintball and airsoft community. He could just not come out to these games and we won't have the luxury to get a warm hotdog or hamburger. Show him the respect and courtesy that he shows you.

That's not right. Hopefully you guys find whoever did it.

Steve has always been very nice to everyone and taking his money is not right.

From what I understand, there was not alot of money in the jar.  He was just more hurt by the fact somebody would just take it.  I know Steve and if somebody was that hard up he would have just given it to them.  But thanks guys for your show of support for Steve.

-wonder if we will ever find out who the thief is. Right move by Henry to keep the guy's name unannounced.
I will make sure to tip the hot dog man well next time I'm out there.
On that same vein, I'm keeping my gun bag locked with a cable device everywhere I play. We all leave thousands of dollars worth of fenceable stuff behind when out on the field. Some tweaker will steal right out front. -not like meth heads have any reason in their thick skulls.

Believe me if the name comes out, he won't be welcome here any more, that's certain.

I agree with Mooncurser, last Fightertown game I went to somebody got a scope stolen and apparently that was a reoccurring problem. I think I'm actually going to keep my stuff locked in my car at the fightertown games until this issue gets resolved. It's really a shame that people would be such pricks and take other peoples shit that they bought with their hard earned money.

That is the reason our team stays by our car and we keep our stuff put away. It should not have to be like that but with pricks stealing things it's what we have to do.

I had a Tokyo Marui MP5 stolen from me at a staging area before. Airsoft isn't without its cheats and thieves.

This is a damn shame! Steve is a great guy and he has personally helped me out not only once but twice by giving me a hot meal on a day I didn't have the funds to pay for it. And not only that but the following week when I tryed to give him the money I owed him for the food I wasn't able to pay for the week before, he insisted that I keep my money. Who ever did this should be ashamed of themselves. I know I havnt played in a while and I know I probley have no room for this comment, but I do pay attention to what goes on here on the forums. People like who ever did this are the ones who give everyone in this sport a bad name. Everyone who is a honest and repectfull person are now all the sudden theives and disrespecfull and dishonest because of this one ass hole who felt the need to steal a mans money who is just out trying to make a living and is there to service YOU.

Luckily I haven't had anything stolen from me, but I keep everything I'm not actively using on the field, locked up in my car, so as to avoid said circumstance. Can't trust people these days...

I've been to fighter town once and I don't know who Steve is, but he sounds like a great guy. It's unbelievable someone would do this. I feel bad for the guy who stole the jar because you must be really fucked up to take a tip jar from a nice guy like Steve. It's a shame. this could have tarnished all airsofters names

IMO we shouldn't have said something till the little prick came back to Figthertown. That way we could have more publicly embarrassed his sorry ass. On top of everything else that would have been done. I hope we find who it is.

To know people are stealing shit at games like this really irritates me to the core. Your playing a game of honesty and integrity you shitbag. Steve when I was at fightertown for the first time it was for Ron's benefit. I thought it was awesome to see you were providing such a service to the community. If I ever make it back out there I'll throw you a bone!

I purposely did not want to confront him at the park.  I would rather have the person just not come again.  As you can tell, alot of people feel very strongly about this.  I fear would could happen if this kid, yes he was a kid around 15 to 16 years old, got caught at the park doing this.  He may not be on the forums and he may return, then we have no choice than to take care of it.  The worst part of all is it happened on the Ron charity night.  A night when so many got together for a good cause to have 1 bad person do this.  Im sorry I never realized there was such a problem with peoples property being taken.  I will try and come up with something to help keep an eye on everyones equipment.  Thanks for the outpouring of support for Steve.

Some peoples kids these days.... i agree i hope he doesnt come back to the field or any fields... that really irritates me that someone could do something like that at to such a friendly guy. He is a really good person, ive talked to him several times before and he was pretty concerned on how we liked his food and what he could do to make it better for us.  He even told me how he felt that the airsofters were a very kind group and he was happy to help. But he is a nice guy who is trying to make a living. Whoever stole his money needs to never come out again. We dont want to imagine urs and others things getting stolen while we play. Its not cool. Dont do it again. Oh! And im shire if we find out who you are... they'll be some good punishment.

I personally never noticed there was a tip jar, but thats also cause i rarely pay for my own food. Lol. But next time im there I'll throw in a nice fat tip.

Henry, not much you can do about thieves. We share the place with paintballers, Moms, wives, and who-knows-what gaggle of other people. Its up to each of us to keep our stuff secure.
It's a PITA to do, and with our refs wanting us to hurry up and get out on field one, three.. Whatever, locking crap up slows things for everyone. Just gotta be that way.

It's the problem with this new generation. They believe they are entitled to everything.  IMO people to secure your stuff. Get a tote once your done loading throw the top on and secure it with a lock. I started doing this. Works great.

Shitty we have to do this but... What else. Maybe ill secure my tote with voltage to zap the next person that touches it :)

The airsoft community is so small, why would you act like a jackass. You'll be blackballed and be known across the country as a thief very quickly. The economy might be not as good ad it once was, but don't steal, especially from friends.

And if you do steal. Sock + bars of soap. Or just good ol fist to the jaw.

Really is sad for someone to do that, he is such a nice gentleman. The dollar amount taken shouldn't matter, even if it was a low amount, the thought of someone stealing from him is wrong.

I haven't been to Fightertown yet but I was planning on making it out there sometime soon. It is just SICK that some kid would steal from a man who is out there working hard to provide cool drinks and food for the people playing. I know how valuable this is  , especially in AZ. The fact that he lets people buy on credit and he will let people slip with 2 sodas is astounding! The generosity this man has clearly been showing to people isn't something that little BITCH should take for granted. If I see this Steve out there, I'm going to look him in the eye, shake his hand, and thank him for his service to our COUNTRY and the airsoft community out here. In case you guys haven't noticed, I am mad as FUCK right now haha and I don't even know Steve!
