UTG MP5 Problem
« on: October 30, 2005, 04:22:51 PM »
here's my problem in full, I got my UTG MP5 A4/A5 Friday charged it up for the exact time it said (3h 50m) put about
100 rounds through it and then  the trigger wouldn't pull anymore, it makes a sort of "thunk" sound when i pull it
and i believe the gearbox jammed and I have no idea how to fix it. I would really prefer someone showing me how to take it apart rather than send it back to the dealer, so I can learn the in's and out's of my gun and know how to fix it in the future, but i don't
even know where to start. does anyone happen to have a diagram of how to take apart a UTG MP5 or
does anyone know a good airsoft shop in the Prescott area?

Thanks,
Aleks Lazutin

I think JungleToy sells UTG.

You might be able to ship it to them and have them repair it for a small fee.

My guees is that it's just a jammed BB.  I'm not sure exactly how those cheap AEGs work, but it it's anything like a Marui (or clone), a BB jammed in the chamber could cause that problem.

How to fix it?  If the gun came with a cleaning/de-jamming rod use that.

For future reference, it could have been caused by the mag overfeeding becasue the spring inside the mag was pushing too hard. If you're using a high cap, don't wind it  too much next time.
