Completely new to airsoft and I was wondering what I just spent my money on, was waste, in my opinion, it wasn't. Just need a few upgrades. Here's a link.

1. The FPS is off. Usually 400+
2. Get it from Airsoft Megastore (Google it)
3. Yeah, it's alright
4. Buy what you like.

It's a good starter aeg, I had one when I started, but my only complaint is the battery placement, you couldn't go bigger than a 9.6 2200 mAh battery in the space provided, so I'd recommend a 7.4 2200 mAh lipo since they are smaller in size and will fit a lot better without an issue

I have a few complaints about this particular gun.
1.) The Battery compartment is small, can't use a large battery.
2.) It has a 2 piece hop up, and tabbed upper, those tabs break all the time and the two piece hop up is a pain.
3.) Front end is proprietary, you need a special JG upper to mount them, not so much a problem as it comes with one, but if one breaks, gotta buy one new.
The only major thing about JG s-systems I like, is their powerful JG blue high torque motor.
I like to advise King Arms sportlines when you're on a budget, had one and it did me very well.

Is a 7.4v LiPo battery better than an 8.4v NiMh?
-
I love my JG S-system and use it over any of my others
I have owned:
CYMA metal/wood AK47 underfolding stock
CYMA metal/wook AK47u
A&K M60E4
G&P Zombie Killer
G&G Plastic Combat Machine
KWA Mac 11
I would buy a JG or a G&G again. I have never ever had an issue with my JG S system and it is several years old. Battery placement isn't a problem. You whip out a roll of black tape and go to town! Who needs a pretty gun when you are on the front lines kicking ass? It is the pretty boys that are hiding behind cover in the rear... ;) You didn't waste any money.

Yes.

Everything you wanted to know about LiPOs, but were afraid to ask:

Buy them here:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__901__900__Airsoft_Accessories-Lipoly_Batteries.html
IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT!
YOU MUST USE A CHARGER DESIGNED FOR LIPO BATTERIES! USING A SMART CHARGER OR WALL CHARGER (LOL) MEANT FOR NIMH OR NICD BATTERIES CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE LIPO AND POTENTIALLY CAUSE IT TO COMBUST

Would this battery be up to par if I decided to replace my normal 8.4v NiMh?

Or you could go to the link I posted above and pay $10 per lipo. Your choice.
