Real Firearms / Re: Army M4 replacement program
« on: January 05, 2015, 07:12:56 PM »
6.5 Grendel IF you are going to keep the Ar- M4 platform- good out to 600-800yds on man sized target and plenty of penetration to get into and through stuff-
or M14 SOCOM -  with a folding stock and 4/6 X scope good enough for the grunts --done!

BUT first we have to teach "kids"  to SHOOT  well before they go to BOOT- or worse over seas

'head shoots'  mitigate the 30 shots to the chest thing -
ONE in the brain box-  then two in the chest- Over kill?NOPE - dead is dead-

ok- I have a dumb question? maybe more than one...I hae not realy had much time dong the air soft stuff - looks like fun I may have to try this out.

respawn flag COULD be mobile?? So if 'dead' and separated from FLAG bearer then am I dead for as long as it take to locate the ONE respawn flag? it could 1 minute or the rest of the day till I link up with THAT one guy with the flag??
CAN other team's respawn flag be taken if carrier DROPS it?

what about NO camping out on the other teams flag- ensuring THEY never get back into the fight ?? Death by attrition ??

There is only one respawn flag, or one for each team? I am slow and old - maybe I missed some ting in the 1st post-

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Arizona summer too hot for green gas?
« on: August 14, 2009, 05:48:26 PM »
I know it is off topic a little but I have seen or heard of: ( after the fact of course)

a green gas bottle blow out ( break the glass , not exploding the glass, but luanching into it)a car winsheild,

a can of soda blow and launch the can like a bottle rocket round and round the car hitting glass, personal stuff and spray sticky soda all over

I have seen several bic lighters swell up then blow up like mini grenades

anything under pressure even not combustable can and does bad things when in the SUN or when too hot, shit even whip cream could blow and shoot out the tip  ( fail safe) and shoot around like a whipcrem spitting rocket can.....

OH  altutude can do it too but you'll never see it now with the new travel restrictions on what we can carry but back back wen I got home to find wife's lotions and my shaving cream that had gone off while in the air messing up that garment bag real good........

General Airsoft Game Discussion / Re: A PLACE TO PLAY
« on: January 01, 2009, 11:57:13 PM »
CQB games?  Sweet!

how many floors do we get to use? what is the square footage per level? What are our limits for fps? What is inside the rooms? does it have power ie. lights or black out conditions? What about windows, do we have to worry about shooting them out? Any waivers involved? SInce we are in the city limits (even on private land, indoors) are there any LAW Enforcement issues to be concerned with?

sounds almost too good to be true. ANY ONE been there that can shed some light on this topic. It would be great to expand the days of use, example sat-sunday not just at night one day a week 1830 to 2400 hrs only.

FOOD, what kind? hotdogs, burgers, homemade sandwhiches, pizzas?????  too many questions just a little short on the intel.

But this might be a great place to do swat type stuff, insertions, extraction, search and destroy way too many combinations of ideas can be run with three floors.

Maybe even do some IPSC-PPC, three gun type competion games?

In case you have the itch to shoot people and don't mind driving to the NW end of Tucson:

force on force, nothing too grand, nothing huge like the upcoming sasco games

BUT

at the moment looks like a split between the Nation of tan (bunch of old guys with beer bellies)  ;) and the nation of Green, a few younger guys, in shape, fit like to run around alot...........

just wanted to let you know, I know it is short notice but hey it is a game if you want in

Accessories & Gear / Re: Tiger stripes?
« on: November 19, 2008, 08:53:02 AM »
Allied Surplus ordered a set of tops and bottoms for me, no troubles. DESERT TIGER, TRUE SPEC's

Like the above statement said: I too wash my cammies inside out, cold water, mild detergent and very little and only put it in the dryer for a few minutes just to get the majority of the water off then hang dry the rest of the way.

I only wear the camies one time a week at most so they won't fade as bad as the stuff you would have to use every day if you where deployed some where, and if you can afford it get extras I got two sets of trousers.

be aware: for some reason, the crotch fails in some of these pants, if you can sew get a field repair sewing kit just in case. It has never happened to me but I have seen several sets go bad (brand new sometimes) in just one or two games??????????not just tiger stripe but the "ripstop" stuuf is the worst?

by the way I love mine , wish they where made in the poplin (heavy weight cloth)

there are other ways to affect gun owners and shooters
1: ban all lead use on public lands, soon to be the law in several states if not already <CA thank you Arnold  has passed this for Northen KAL> Michgan and Minnesota done or are doing this
2: ban lead shot 1/4 mile of ANY WETLANDS public or private, on the books in Wa.
3: stop importing POWDERS  made off shore, 85% of the gun podwer used for reloading not made in the US
4: there are talks of as much as 500% tax on ammo
5: MICRO ETCHING for the brass as it exits the gun barrel? wtf  again Arnold in cali
6: limit the pounds of powder I can buy and store at home  and the total amount of ammo, (loaded or not) on the horizon in several places other wise "register" as a PRIVATE aresenal...........
7: there are more but can't keep them all straight, too many are bull and the others just sound way too crazy to be true.........

I owned a company that made lead cast bullets for many years, never never again. too much law, too much cost, too much insurance way way too little profit for all the work invloved.
I talk to gun stores, reloading compnaies and private reloaders, bullets casters and shot makers private and big time, I hear things that just scare me.

and never mind if some dumb-stupid-crazy  shoots or really tries to "shoot" the new leader, then we WILL have race riots, race wars and at the very least the reason why we must disarm the public, "THEY COULD REBEL AND REVOLT AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT" whatever.....excuses. it is much easier to make imposible to buy, load, or afford ammo than it would be to go DOOR TO DOOR taking guns away......

but if we want to see what could happen, talk to some one in ENGLAND OR AUSTRALIA  about crime- guns- forget civil liberties pppssssh, they do not have the freedom of speech or press, why? cause no guns, means no one can stand up and say 'ENOUGH'

done!

after getting a ride back to the main site during the last SASCO OP I really thought it would be nice to have such a rig as yours.........I would use my Trooper but have a hard time thinkg of cutting it up to use for the few game I would be taking it to. SInce it is White, it would make a cool 'radio car' or UN patrol vehicle.
A cj7-8 would be cool, seeing how the front glass folds down out of the way. Add the full cage roll bar, crush guards, nerf bars with platfrom fro standing on........

anyway thanks for the ride, after shot up by you guys I thought I was going to have to wait for a medic or hoof it back.

I like the new medic rule, couple questions please

1: if you can be healed in "no more than 5 minutes you put one the white rag", I get that but- then

2, do we call out medic or sit quietly in "shock from being wounded"? and since we are wounded do we move out of the fire fight area or again "sit head covered, hands up"?

3 during the time we get hit and sit waiting for medic do you want us to use our red rag still to denote 'the hit' along with calling out our hits???

4  what if 5 minutes pass and no one 'heals you' are then to PUT ON RED RAG and return to regen spot?

sounds like to be truley fair we should bring red & white rag plus a watch, I never know how long to sit and wait, one minutes feels like 5. 5 feels like 10 to me when people are shooting around me.

sorry airsofter1, not trying to cause problems with so many dumb questions, I am sure you will clarify game day, just been running the process in my head to be clear of what your intent is for this event, sounds like fun can't wait, even got the wife to stay with the girls for that day (half day) what will be the time period for this, 0700- ?

thanks
