Looks like they are in stock at Redwolf if you don't mind ordering overseas. These MAG mags are great; the build quality is better than the STANAG mags they make.

I bought a box of AK74 Mag mids from Airsoft GI. They are great mags.

I foresee some difficulties.
1) It would be difficult to find a big enough town or enough buildings.
2) It would be difficult to balance the team to get the game result you want. You need marines to be able to push opfor then get trapped.
3) I don't think many people would enjoy being held as hostages; airsofters like to be shooting.
4) I have found capture and hostage rules to be very difficult to run effectively.

I will be out with +1 or +2. ...... Green I guess.

3.  It's gonna be next to impossible to make a fully automatic airsoft shotgun from scratch, with limited knowledge, and without a good machine shop.  To my knowledge there isn't even a semi automatic airsoft shotgun out that you could reference (I could be wrong).

I'm pretty sure there are a few gas-powered semi-auto shotties out there. Expensive but that'd be pretty beast on the field

Maruzen makes the m1100; that is a gas powered semi auto shotgun. It is expensive and my understanding is that it is NOT a beast on the field.

I always favor plastic pistons. I would prefer shredding one of those rather than a nice set of gears. Also, they are lighter weight and easier to modify.

Javelins gave me trouble every time I used them.  They'd go about 35' then veer off into every direction.  This happened on multiple occasions, with several different replicas.

I will second the comment on the Javelins. They seem to have crazy flight paths in comparison to other bbs.

That was you? The big foam emote on your head was awesome. I knew it had to be an airsofter; normal people don't have that much gear lying around for a costume.

Calrence Lai (The Airsoft Surgeon) built a shotgun platform that fired self contained, gas shotgun shells. You would probably find this article interesting...

Troubleshooting / Re: What Could have Caused This?

So yesterday i was skirmishing with my gun. Its a KWA M4 with CA wiring. I was using the gun for a few hours, and the last game of the night, this happens. It wasnt acting strange at all before it happened. It was just sudden. My gears made an awful noise then the gun stopped firing. (I was using a King Arms lipo). I go home and open up the gearbox and the anit-reversal latch was broken in half. The anti-reversal latch spring was also de-sprung I guess you could say. (I dont know what to call it.) So what may have caused this?

If nothing else was damaged I would suggest simply replacing the anti-reversal latch with a new one and reassembling the gearbox. I have pulled a heavily bent one out of a gearbox before, so I would think that had I continued to used the gearbox without service it would have snapped like yours.  The latch is a part that is under stress and failure would not indicate that anything else is necessarily wrong; it may just be a defective individual part.

150 for that gun is not a "too good to be true" price. Airsoft guns depreciate in value rapidly because you are taking a risk in regards to reliability with a package like that. Go ahead and check it out, or take a look at the guns on consignment at gearbox. There are always deals to be had if you know what you are looking for.

Oh and btw, if you are starting out I would suggest an M series weapon if you have no preference. From just an airsoft standpoint the availability of parts, mags, and gear that works with them generally makes them more hassle-free to run.
