Today, SWFA (a leading scope and firearms accessory company, dealer, and distributor) introduced the Super Sniper 5-20x50HD tactical scope. For those of you who shoot "real steel" firearms regularly, you may be familiar with the Super Sniper name. Introduced some years ago, the original 10x42, 16x42, and 20x42 scopes are known for being robust scopes at an excellent price point. More recently, they've updated this scope line with offerings like the 3-9x42FFP, the 10x42HD, and the 1-4x24HD. This new scope continues the same line of excellent scopes SWFA makes and has some amazing features. For more information, follow this link:

If you're in the market for a new scope for your precision rifle, this is a great way to get a scope that's expected to compete with other high-end optics at a much lower price. However, even if you have NO interest in the scope itself at this time, PLEASE "Like" the Sniper's Hide LLC page on Facebook. In doing so, you'll be bringing awareness to a fantastic community and forum that has a heavy influence with many scope manufacturers, and you'll lower the introductory price of this scope by 33%!!! You can unlike the page later if you'd like, but those of us interested in this scope will be ever grateful for your help! And please feel free to spread the word to your friends at other forums, work, school, wherever. We can use all the help we can get!

I have a near-new LaRue 12" (rifle length) free float rail system I need to sell. It has been mounted, but no locktite was applied to secure it in place yet, as I had plans to remove the barrel soon (which has been done). It will fit any AR15 barrel with a rifle length gas system and a full front sight base, or you can use it on shorter barrels if you have a low profile gas block. It's had about 100 rounds fired with it mounted. It looks to be in almost new shape, aside from some light marks that were applied to the rail locking ring during removal. I've just downgraded to a JP Precision FF tube that suits my needs better overall. $235 takes it. These run $300 plus shipping if you order direct from LaRue. GONE!

First "I'll take it" gets it. Please post here, then send a PM stating that you'll take it so I have a time stamp to go by. If you have any questions, please let me know.

NO trades at this time.

Thanks!

I have a black Tango Down VFG (non-QD). I'll either trade this for a Tango Down Stubby VFG in FDE, or take $40 for it.

First "I'll take it" gets it, based on time stamp here in the thread. PM me with any questions. Thanks!

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / KWA G19 GBB ***Price drop***
« on: April 23, 2011, 01:56:06 AM »
Picked these up last year thinking I'd use them as force on force training tools or just cheap practice, but that hasn't ever really happened.

The G19 has an unmarked metal slide, metal outer barrel, heavy frame, and one mag. A previous owner appears to have removed the orange marking with heavy sandpaper, so you may want to use a much lighter grade of paper (I'd go REAL light, like 600 grit and just be patient if it were me) to remove the current paint, then repaint it yourself if you're looking for a nicer handgun. As it stands, this thing would work great as a field piece. It has a few spare parts including a Mil-Spec marked plastic slide and outer barrel, stock inner barrel, guide rod with recoil spring, new hop up bushing, new front sight (the one on there is a little buggered up for my tastes), an old magazine follower (doesn't lock down for loading, but otherwise works fine), and Part #27 (Gas chamber seal).

G19 w/ one mag and spare parts - $135

First post in this thread, followed by a PM, will get the items they state in their reply. I will be using the time stamps in this thread to decide who gets first dibs on what. Any questions, feel free to ask them.

I'm NOT interested in any trades at this time, since I'm using these funds to finish a few firearm projects. However, if you happen to have a like new condition Daniel Defense 16" mid-length, gov't profile, Cold Hammer Forged, and chrome lined barrel with complete FSB and very low round count, we'll talk. Otherwise, please don't waste my time or yours with trade offers! Thanks!

ETA: Pics! I can take more pics tomorrow in natural light if needed. The flash reflection adds what appear to be scratches and marks, but 90% of the wear is isolated to the front of the slide.

Gas Powered Guns / Glock GBBs no longer imported?
« on: July 08, 2010, 10:12:08 AM »
So, I've done a bit of looking around, and nobody that I'm aware of stocks any Glock GBBs. I've been out of the sport for a good long while, but my cousins and I are receiving some Glocks as gifts, and we are thinking of picking up some GBBs to practice with. However, I can't seem to find any in stock anywhere stateside, and the only other place I've found them over seas is at WGC Shop. I'd really rather not pay a customs duty fee, since I've done that once already, and it tacked on a good $35-40 to the cost of the pistol.

So, am I just not looking in the right places, or has Glock taken action against these being imported?

Gas Powered Guns / Looking for GBB 1911 info to suppliment my CCW practice!
« on: December 06, 2008, 10:58:49 PM »
Hey, everyone. I've been a member on these boards since I was about 15-ish (I'm 22 now), but I've been an inactive member since upgrading to "real steel" as it's called here. ;) However, I've recently decided that I'd like to get a GBB to supliment my CCW practice (force-on-force training). I'm pretty spoiled to WA stuff (had an SVI Infinity 5" for my first, and a Para-Ordnance P14.45 HRT for my second). However, I'm looking for a quality single stack model that can closely mimick my current carry piece without breaking the bank (or breaking itself, either!). Attached is a photo of my daily carry . Having been out of the airsoft world for so many years, I'm looking for information on who makes a decent single stack 1911 these days, or even specific model suggestions from WA on down to KWA. Suggestions for places to purchase would be great as well. I know how to run the search button, and will as much as I can, but life's busy and getting busier, so any help you can provide that would save me some time would be GREATLY appreciated! I'm not looking for all the custom feature I have on my 1911, but the general layout needs to be replicated (single stack, single side safety, beavertail, arched MSH, barrel bushing, GI type recoil guide rod, etc). I'm looking to build muscle memory, and while I realize any 1911 model would be better than nothing, the closer to my carry, the better. Thanks for the help, folks!

General Off-Topic Discussion / Rainbow Six 3 for PS2?
« on: January 25, 2005, 05:00:21 PM »
I seem to have gotten stuck. I'm in the PentHouse level, where you only get a pistol, and if you're seen or heard, you lose. I can't seem to get anywhere (literally, I'm usually dead within 30 seconds to a minute of the level starting).

If I try to sneak past the guys in the living room and kitchen, I'm seen. But if I wait for people to move around, a guy either comes down the stairs and sees me, or a guy just inside the penthouse sees me. I can't gas them either, even though I've got gas grenades and the mask to do so.

Anyone have any pointers they can provide? I've gotten this far, but I can't get any farther and it's killing me. Thanks!

Gas Powered Guns / Which for "messing around?" (yeah, newbish)
« on: June 20, 2003, 11:12:26 PM »
OK, I hate these posts, but I can't seem to make much of an informed decision myself. I've read reviews (the ones I can find), and asked around. I've also seen the responses to questions like this, some of which I have responded to myself.

What I'm looking for is a low-cost GBB or NBB that won't cost more than $100-115 (preferably a pinch less), but won't break after a week, and have "Made in China" stamped all over the inside. The reason I'm looking for something cheap, and not saving for another WA (although I'd LOVE to), is that I can't afford to get back into airsoft to any large degree. I would just like to have a little something that I can use to "informally skirmish" my friends with.

I've basically got it down to the KWC M9, the KWC 1 Joule 1911, or the KJW Ruger Mk. 1, or anything I can find used that's in GOOD (ie, usable and looks at least decent) condition. Anyone with measureable experience, please chip in. Thanks for tolerating this post and helping a desperate airsoft addict find something to nurse his habit until he can afford to get back in. General Airsoft Discussion / Job at Command Post
« on: June 15, 2003, 06:54:58 PM »
If I'm lucky enough, I may be able to secure a job at the Tempe location of the Command Post. I've contacted John, the owner, via e-mail and expressed an interest in a position. He responded, and let me know that there may be a "temporary" opening. My next step is to go see him in person for an interview of sorts. I feel confident I can perform the tasks usually performed at a paintball shop, as well as those that involve airsoft. My main interest right now is trying to improve their selection, and to see if I can't get them to use dedicated wall guns, so you aren't buying a "used" gun from them when you buy one off the wall (or shelf, for GBB's). On top of this, is there anything that anyone would like done in specific to the airsoft side of things? Maybe see if I can't get a wider selection of guns, and lower the prices? Better BB's? I'm just feeling the water here, as I don't have the job, YET! But I'd like to know what they majority of the local customers (you guys) would like to see.

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / SOLD - Western Arms SV Infinity 5" Standard
« on: March 14, 2003, 11:00:47 PM »
Due to recent events (in my personal life), I have chosen to take a break from the airsoft world and move on for a while. Money is need elsewhere to pay off a Defensive Driving Course, etc. So, I'm selling my SVI. It has been VERY well cared for. Periodically taken apart (bench stripped, to the last screw), cleaned, greased and oiled, and reassembled. It functions flawlessly. The mag well is a little worn, but any well loved pistol would be worn here as well. Nothin major, just a little scraping inside from quick changes. The finish is slightly worn off on all the normal handling places (beavertail, safety, sides of frame, etc.). WA hasn't yet perfected the art of finishing metal, methinks. [:(]

Two mags, both standard 30 rounders, both have had NOTHING, and I MEAN NOTHING in them but 134a (or well oiled Duster, using Chase's method). Nothing but Excel .2g BB's have been through this gun. There is a slight bit of orange on the grooves atop the barrel, as Chase couldn't get it all. I still have all the trigger's (extended, short, and competition), all hex wrenches (hop-up and trigger change), loading tools, manuals, targets, warnings, tags, and the original bag of factory BB's, as well as it's box. The box got a bit beat up during shipping, but it's in pretty good shape otherwise.

I'd like to get about $175 for for all of this. I'd also throw in the rest of my Excel BB's (about 800 or so). Cost me $240 brand new. E-mail me if you're interested at NickRas@cableaz.com . Please don't post. I don't get on often enough to check. Thanks!

I decided to take a photography class at my high school, and we just picked up a 35mm SLR camera (Canon EOS Rebel G) for the class. We'll be taking black and white photos. Anyone use these kind of cameras and can offer a few tips just to get me started? I learn things best by doing, so I'll catch on pretty quick once I get some film in there. Thanks!

General Airsoft Discussion / GBB Repair? Perhaps?
« on: August 16, 2002, 08:13:11 PM »
"If I had the funds and connections to do so, I'd LOVE to do gas guns. I'm great with 'em (I've taken my SVI completly apart, save for maybe three or four screws. If I recall correctly, it's got somewhere in the neighborhood of 87-90 parts. It was fun!). I can take themapart, clean them, maintain them, and fix some problems. I just wouldn't knowwhere to get parts from. And I'm not sure how many people would trust a16 year old with their prized possession (be it broken/dirty or not). But I'd LOVE to do it. Bring in a little money while getting to do the "play" version of what I'd like to do for a profession (sort of. Fixing guns isn't quite Forensic Science in Firearms and toolmarks, but I can get some hands on experience, kind of ).

I mean, hey, if anyone has a gas gun they'd like cleaned or something (I'm talking either a regular cleaning (because you may not know how to or whatever) or a detailed cleaning), let me know. I'd be willing to do it if anyone really needed it. You'd have to pay for shipping, and I probably wouldn't charge more than $15-20 for adetailed cleaning. Again, my age is an "issue" with most people, but if anyone really needs it, drop me a line. I'd love to help you out.

I've got experience on WA's 1911 line, KSC's Glock and M9 line, and TM/KJW's M9 line. I've owned all of them for a period of time, at least long enough to take them apart and put them back together, while the 1911, Glocks, and KSC M9's I had long enough to study out.
Contact me if you're interested.

NOTE: This was originally posted in the AEG repair post Harley made. However, after a little bit of thought, I decided GBB didn't belong in the same thread as AEG. I am no professional at this stuff, but I am pretty good. All of my guns still work (unless they need parts, like my ICS MP5, but that's an AEG). I'd love to do some of this stuff to get to know you all better and maybe get some money for BB's and gas so I can go out and play at non-AA games, as I am not sponsored. Thanks, guys.

Not funny. I didn't see any AR standards on there, of which I still need 4 (at least. No such thing as too many mags, or too much ammo)!

Spring Power!! /
« on: June 20, 2003, 07:19:50 PM »
Night games with springers are great.

Besides that, try something like Hunter:

Depending on how many people you have (say you have 10 right now), send 2 people out to be the hunters. Everyone else is the Hunted. You send one Hunted out every 30 seconds. Each Hunted that is shot by a Hunter, becomes a Hunter. Each Hunter shot by a Hunted, becomes a Hunted. Team with the most people on their side at the end of the game (say, 10-15 minutes) wins.

If you're into the fieldcraft stuff (ie, using folage for camo, crawling quietly, using nature to your advantage, using shadows, etc.), try playing CTF with multiple flags. Again, using 10 people, set up 5 flag stations, spread out aways (this would best be played in a forest). In each station, set up one flag per team (two people a team). So, you have 1 flag per team in each station, 5 flags total (for 10 people). Each person gets 10 shots. No more, no less. The object is to go from the starting point, and collect all of your flags without being seen. You can be seen, and if you are, the game isn't over for you. But now you've got 10 shots (20 between you and your partner) to get out of dodge. The team who collects all of their flags first wins. "Points" are given to the team with the most ammo at the end of each game, and the loosing team has to buy everyone lunch. [:D]

I hope those were clear. If not, ask me whatever and I'll try to clear them up. Also, the second game is great for GBB's. Make the round count 15 (or if anyone has a single stack, make the round count equal to the lowest capacity mag, not to exceed 15). Those 15 rounds will go fast, and everyone will learn the hard way to look for firing lanes, and to take shots only if they've got something worth shooting at.
