I wasn't at LCIV so I can't say as far as if the new AO was better than Tehachapi, but I liked it OK. Gopher from the Grenadiers was telling me that we had the shittiest part, that the DMZ and the Bravo home zone were a lot cooler.

Alpha Cav crumbled before our might like a bunch of prison bitches. I destroyed five vehicles on Sunday.

STFU Vince.  There was no crumble.      Alpha Cav kept returning to the fight up to the whistle, both days, and would have kept coming as long as the game was on.   While I realize that for a 19 year old kid you need to self-glorify to feel good about yourself, you clearly fail to see the real point of LC V - to honor veterans, specifically those who have fallen.  Perhaps its because you have never served.

Thats said, Bravo fought hard and at the end Task Force Bravo had 100 points more than Task Force Alpha (per John Lu but final AAR pending).   Not exactly a "crumble" but whatever makes you happy.

I enjoyed fighting against the Bravo Arizona group and look forward to doing it again.   The firefights were intense and brutal and the most fun I have ever had in airsoft.

I completely understand the point of the Lion Claws series; you saw me talking to SGT Miller on Friday, and that was because I was both thanking him for his service and wanting to know more about it, just like I did with MSG Mullen on Sunday.  I have nothing but respect for military service, both prior, and current, and even though I don't see eye to eye on anything you do, I've always maintained that I respect your service to our country and have never denigrated nor diminished that. End of discussion.

I'd be interested to see how the scores went; I think he was wanting to avoid an Irene III by not giving specifics, but maybe I'm wrong -- I can't wait for the AAR.

Sure, we won by 100pts.. counting all the leniency you guys probably got from Lu.

Sure, I played it to honor Memorial day, but I also played it because I wanted to contribute to easily breaking the tie between you and us.

And yes, I look forward to doing it again, too. ;)

I agree with you on the point thing.  I think that pretty much every major BOUSA event from now on will be like that with final points within a few hundred from each other.   But then a close fight is more fun than a massive gap between scores....

And to my arch-nemisis on Alpha Cav, you put up a fight worthy any airsofter.  I tip my 40 in your honor.

Doc, you're telling me our nearly 400 meter push into your lines on saturdays last mission wasn't a crumble? We took on everything, and kept on pushing. That is an assbeating of nearly biblical proportions. You're assualt on our LZ crumbled under the might of the Rangers, and once we got the momentum going, there weas nothing you could do.

In talking with one of the other Alpha Cav players on Sunday he said that GC didnt really give them a clear idea of what they were supposed to be defending; just go out and patrol.  I'm sure this played some part in this "crumbling".  Doug, can you shed some light on this?

Maybe there was nothing we could do, maybe not...

the point is we dropped into your LZ, we regened and came back again, and we would have come back yet again if the whistle had not blown.  In fact we were on our way back when I was told to stand down. We were outnumbered and didn't give a crap.  We came to the fight and fought to the death.  How exactly does that give anyone the feeling that they can call it an assbeating?

The spirit and heart that I saw in Alpha Cav was a moving experience and is exactly  the spirit that has kept this country free.  Thats what LC V is all about.

Your "victory" at LC V isn't a bragging post.  No one with any respect and honor was bragging after Irene III....

Correct - we had no intel on mission objectives other than a general OPORD to patrol.  We set up lines and had a few firefights with y'all and decided to take the fight to you.  We finally did get some intel on Sunday AFTER we deployed.

But I'm not bitching about it.  LC V was milsim, NOT an airsoft game (per BB Magnet).  It was the closest to the real thing you can get without being there.

Well. I had an awesome time. I actually loved the AO. Close bushfighting is my kind of combat. And I got within shooting range of about 10 vehicles.......but so did about 5 other HWS at the same time. Needless to say we always had the armor adequadely destroyed every time it came near us on sunday. I WOULD have had the ARGOs on saturday if 1 my shell wouldn't have leaked it's gas and fallen short and 2 jeremiah wouldn't have gotten in an argument with the driver. But oh well. It all worked out.

That 400meter push on saturday never would have happened either if we wouldn't have gotten reinforced at the very last possible moment either. The left flank was just about to give in, but we were reinforced by a whole new platoon and just swept over the attackers. I was getting a little worried about those alpha guys...but it didn't help that they were camped across the road from our FOB right when we left for the LZ.

Sunday was simply awesome. Incredible pushes from both sides. However I couldn't help but marvel at how our rangers just kept pushing up the hill no matter what. Nothing could stop them, we just kept advancing and advancing. I only died a total of twice during actual gameplay as well. I'd like to thank the guys in my squad for watching my back too. You guys are awesome!! 0202!! Hooah!

There is no doubt that the Alpha Cav put up a hell of a fight. I also have no doubt Doc that they would have kept coming and coming just as we did.  I truly had a great time (except for Saturday night!!) My cap is off to all the men and women that showed up, never gave up, and more so did it to honor those that have so bravely fought for this great Country.

Bottom line is, Bravo won. Alpha fought hard but we fought harder, period. I wont sugar coat it, we were there to play airsoft and win.  We were there to win with the fallen in mind and in our hearts and to honor our vets on this memorial weekend, no argument.
Wanna argue the FACTS, shoot me a PM....we will handle it off the forum.

I dont appreciate someone kissing my a** to get what they want  from me and then turning into an a**hole when they dont get it. I wont name names, you know who you are, it will be addressed.

Whew, better. With that said, I had a great time! I am very thankfull to have had been a part of it all. Thanks Vince for pointing me in the right direction so many months ago when I first learned of the LC series. Thanks Scott (Taz) and the Addicts crew for taking me in, motivating me to go to LCV and providing me with that sweet CA m249 a week before the game. Hope to see you all at Irene!

I should have said this first.

Thanks a lot Mikey and Mark for leading the way for us this weekend. You guys did a good job of telling us where to be and when. And we were able to coordinate our attacks properly thanks to your leadership. [smilie=armata_pdt_34.gif]
