Sweet, lets hope the other manufacturers take notice, I don't want to buy the box mag separately from the gun, especially when it is a support weapon and a box magazine is expected.

They'll be using a Version 3 gearbox in both.  Sorry, I thought I mentioned that.  That way, more compatible parts, and you don't have the same (stupid) system top uses :P

Hopefully you don't mean that it's silver.  It's like all guns, it'll be painted after it's out of the prototype stage.

It looks good to me in the pics.

Parkerization, bluing, and anodization doesn't last long.

Hopefully, they won't just paint it.  My CA 249 is that way, and I'm not happy with the finish at all.  It's better since I roughed it up a bit, but still nowhere near realistic.

I can't stand the finish on most airsoft parts.  TM Mags, Metal recievers for M4s (with the exception of the new Guarder sets), and lots of mounts and other accessories are just painted black.  When the finish flakes off, it looks terrible.

I have NEVER fired a firearm in the military that had a black PAINTED-ON finish.

But this is airsoft :P  And that's the beauty (?) of the game... They try soooo hard to replicate something, yet fuck up the trades and then just give it a dusted paintjob, and we pay hundreds for it.

Ever fancied a M60 with a reliable gearbox such as the Version 3 (AK/AUG) ? Well now a Taiwanese company is making that dream a reality with their M60 kits (I didn't have time to translate all the text but it does seem to be part metal construction), that will need assembly. I am not really sure if this news has surfaced on other sites already but Corporal did take time from his busy schedule to send it in plus it did catch my attention so here it is.The E3 is priced at NT$40000 and the A1 at NT$25000 keep in mind these are local prices and will most definately change when imported into the UK. They also have a AK-47S kit listed for NT $40000

Then this too...hmm

All by this company.

Well, if it is a kit, it appears that you can drop in a version 3 gearbox(if you cheap bastards can find one!!!). On the little picture they show, I don't see a selector plate or anything like that, so I can't tell if its an AK version 3 or a G36 version 3. it will probably be custom due to the lack of a machine gun not having semi auto.

Supposedly they'll have the kit out first, and then put out the entire gun later.

I've decided I want an M60, and depending on which way I decide to go... either the Asahi M60 or this one.

I'm interested in a Mk43 if someone besides TOP makes one, and it has a PGC-style gearbox.

A Version 2-3 gearbox in a support weapon is like putting a 4-cylinder in a Corvette.

I love my SAW because I can rip out the full 2400 round box mag in one long burst without problems.  Not that I would, but because I can if I need to.

Okay:

www.airsoftgi.com  they have them for preorder.

Well, they have an Mk43.  How you figure that putting that?  A v3 can handle an extremely high rate of fire, high velocity, and long bursts.  RPK comes to mind... True it's not as strong as a PGC, but you can still rip out a full box mag *for the 60* without problems.
www.inokatsu.com/product/item.asp?lang= ... product=12

Also, these guys are the same ones who make the AK kits for Guarder.
