It was fun, and for a first-time scenario, pretty good.
Next time, ~everyone bring radios!~ We had a additional target on the Stalker side, and if you didn't have comm, you were SOL.

The Tucson guys are laid back, easy to play against. Don't get me wrong, they are tactical, but it's a different crowd than the players in the Valley. I like these folks.

Next STALKER a night game, right?

Chip

Hopefully! :D

Also, sorry I ran off during our conversation, had to get the pistol match equipment out of the car before Pat drove to retrieve the boxes.

I had a good time at this event. I too saw some good sportsmanship overall from both my Russian team and enemy stalkers. Hopefully in game pics and video will be posted soon.

Thanks to the guys who put this on for us!

Just wanted to send a thanks to the organizers from team Warlord. We had a great time and thought the play was great and that (for the most part) everyone was calling their hits. I know we missed the first "Blindman" call on the radio, but snce we were out in the middle of the desert and made no contact, I don't think there was any impact on the game. Just didn't hear the call.

Anyway, love the concept and had a great time! Thanks everybody!

Very rarely do I get on to post about events, but I felt compelled to do so for this one.

I'd just like to personally thank the jackasses who decided to break the rules and cheat during the pistol games. It was really awesome how the guy with the SHOTGUN decided to jump into the PISTOL war game right before we started. It was even better getting shot with it being 10 feet away, while I was being attacked by someone else OUTSIDE of the boundaries behind me as soon as the game started. But how can that be? I could have sworn I specifically asked the host before the game if going outside of the structure was out of bounds, and him replying 'yes' to me.

Honestly, question your guns FPS prior to games and not after them, and most of all, if its not a pistol, don't bring it to a pistol war.

If you're the same guy that said "next time, make a game that doesn't suck ass", just stop being asinine, and GTFO. Obviously nothing can please you. If you have nothing constructive or useful to say, don't post!

If you didn't want the shotgun in the round, you could have always asked.

Let's keep try to keep it civil, please. We're all airsoft enthusiasts here and we're on the same side.

Main game sucking aside, the complaints about the pistol challenge are valid. The "pistol challenge" directly infers pistols should have been used. If instead it was announced as a "CQB" game with no assault rifles or battle rifles, then complaining about only having a pistol and being outgunned by a shotty or SMG would be less valid.

And as for the boundary rules, it's not like Airsoft1 is complaining that he lost; the issue is that someone broke the rules right after they held Airsoft1 to those rules. It's ok if that person forgot that rule in the heat of the battle, and he should just man up and take responsibility so we can put this issue down before it becomes a flame war on the forums.

Couple of things.
First, it was announced "pistol" matches, but the actual 5-6 man turnout included CQB AEGs, gas smgs, and very few pistols.

The shotgun guy was ok'd to play, as was the gentleman with the P90, if I hadn't, it would have been three people with pistols.

There guns chrono'd under the CQB limit, and there was no reason to exclude those who turned up wanting to play, but didn't bring a pistol, if we had had 30 guys show with pistols, it would have been a different story.

The rules were never set upon, as these were a fun, on the spot game, with zero beforehand planning. It was inferred that players couldn't leave the bunker.

You asked me if you could leave the bunker, I said no. I don't know what happened after that, or when you took your hit, but I cannot comment on any rules violations, as I didn't see it.

****Mouthing off was the other player that asked for rules clarification, then got hit with the shotgun, not Airsoft1***

Perhaps it was your mouthing off that earned you that blast? You were doing a great job of it before the game.

come on, guys, lets play nice. We're probably going to see one another face to face at another game some day and we don't need to end up on the news as poster boys for getting airsoft banned because of a fist fight. Let's discuss / resolve this.

around 0:38 someone in multicam (the closer one) is out of the bunker, taking shots with their pistol.

I appreciate your assumption! But no, I was not that guy that made the derogatory comment about the event. The owner of the shotgun jumped in the game, right in front of me as the game was nearly beginning.

I think its fascinating how the worst is suddenly assumed of me as a player. Suddenly, I'm this annoying kid who goes around talking shit about the game and making crazy assumptions trying to start fights. I also find it interesting that exarach, the individual hosting this event, is so vulgar towards me. Just stepping aside here, I drove from Gilbert to your event with your organization for the first time. Do you honestly think your attendance rate will go up with an attitude like that towards other players?

I played the game prior and had no complaints, except about the movement of the stalkers during a cease fire. I know its hard to set up games and I thought this one had a decent scenario. In my honest opinion, aside from this, I got a fair amount of kills and had fun.

^^First of all, LOL @ that video because the title is 'SASCO pistol Challenge'.

@ 38 that is me (in mc) BEHIND the fellow who is out of bounds (I'm behind him as well because I am OUT). I specifically asked the person leading the event if it was legal to be outside of the bunker. I made the question VERY SPECIFIC, and asked him carefully because I had a feeling this exact instance was going to happen.

I don't think most of you realize what actually went down; so let me sum it up for you. I spawned in the corner as it was a free for all with five (four corners one mid). The person with the shotgun was right in front of me and as soon as the game began, another player went out of bounds and came up behind me. I literally had no where to go as I was already in a corner dealing with the shotgun. As soon as the other player came up behind me and opened fire, I was distracted with him, and took all five bullets in my tricep. It was actually kind of cool, and would have been awesome if it was a legitimate kill.

@SpiritOfSimo, thank you for not instantly ridiculing me. I am here to let these other players know I do not appreciate the cheating. If you can shoot me, that's great, I airsoft to have fun and get shot sometimes. In fact I'll take shots all day! But there's a difference between a fair kill and rule breaking. I've  been playing airsoft for over seven years, and I know when rifles are way over there limit and this is one of those times. http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn25 ... 14-111.jpg

Ya, three player free for all and the rest of the guys told to leave. Real fun.

To Airsoft1, glad to hear you liked the previous event.

As to my comment, there was one player at the bunker match that was all to eager to tell me how much he disliked the scenario previous, and how that was mostly due to admins and shit game planning. I honestly didn't give two flying """"". because I got good suggestions and advice from tons of people in the parking lot, figured this was just the heat talking. A few minutes later, same guy asked for rule clarification about leaving the inner bunker, and.. believe it or not, this guy got hit with a shotgun in CQB, and bitched and moaned about that for a while.
I merely pieced together what you had reported and  concluded that I had my perp.

Sorry I confused you two, I will apologize for slighting your forum name, wish you a good day, and conclude that in future, the after game fun matches probably should come with a rules sheet.

By the way, does anyone know the forum name of the guy that was taking pics, though? I know he has a few of me, and I'd love to see them.

And because I'm a respectable guy, I will also apologize for thinking you were the guy that was there just to complain (or so it seemed). Hopefully you can see the misunderstanding.

I have to say after all this reading, i was one of the STALKERS moving during the apparent cease fire. Because i had my radio on a separate squad channel, and my designated radio man took off, i did not hear the call come in. Also, i was way the hell out of the way, so i didn't even hear the people yelling for a cease fire, if in fact they were.

Now on to the bunker match. I had a pistol. I went against a guy with a p90, reaver i believe. I didn't give two squirts about what he had, because he was using semi only. And because I still shot him out. Even after he shot me in the dick the previous round. Was i mad, not at all. Its part of the game. going against odds makes you a better player. Well i can understand the disgruntlement of the player who got nailed with the shotgun, but i would put on my big boy pants, and just deal with it. Wasn't the first time something like that has happened, and it won't be the last. Just ask anybody who has had the misfortune of having a bb implanted into their body.
