Best gas to use in a KJW mag/TM Tac Master
« on: June 13, 2005, 08:35:05 AM »
Ok, I am having a little bit of a problem. My Tac Master can only shoot about one mag of bb's on one mag of gas. Sometimes it does not even get out all 26 rounds. I have tried filling it with more/less gas, and I am now at about 4-5 seconds. I tried green gas, and 134a, but the 134a runs out even faster than green, but green seems like it spills out of every hole in the gun. Any help is much appreciated. BTW, the mag is not leaky at all.

For TM guns if you want them to last you should use 134a but green gas can be used. What I would recommend for you is after you gas up the gun put a little lube on the bottom of the mag to help the o-rings seal.

If you use green gas in the Tactical Master it WILL break.  I had two and both did.  The back of the slide will eventually blow out.  That said, the gun doesnt work well on 134a, which sucks.

What if I got a metal slide? What exactly breaks off? It seems like there is a lot of wasted gas every time I pull the trigger, I can see the waves of propane coming out of the back of the slide.

OKAY BUSTA THANK YOU!!!!! :P. But really, I do lube it a lot, but that doesn't help the fact that the gas runs out after just one mag.

Yeah it does. Clean the gun, wipe off all previous lube and grease. Get it down to its bare parts... and lube them and put em back in.

It's possible your seals/o-rings may be beginning to wear and need to be replaced.  :(

The rear section of the slide will break off and send the internals back at your face.  This has happened with both of my Tac Masters. The area around the decocker (safety on the airsoft gun) is the weakest.  A metal slide would fix it and allow you to run almost any gas.

Nah, I don't think so. When I put my ear up to the entry, there is absolutely no leak.

I think I am gonna go with a metal slide, because of what Rick said.

Anyway, one more question, what exactly does a high flow valve do? (As you can probably tell, I am not very knowledgable about GBBs :P)

The holes in the valve are alot larger, and allows more gas to escape per shot when the valve opens. Thus, letting heavier slides get pushed back easier by the gas.
