There are no boundrys to these type of games typically it's anything goes north east and south of the marker.  Tough the spawn flags will keep the ao down in size to about 200 yards in each direction.

How large is the AO?
Can someone with knowledge use paint or something to create a boundary on the map if at all possibly?

Only restriction is placed by the forest service, you can't play south of the marker/open area as it is in a no shooting zone.  Everything north of that is good to go.

That's right I forgot about that. See it's been so long since a game was held here.

I was hoping to make this my first forealzies airsoft game. Assuming I don't have family coming out that week/weekend I would just need to square away some gear. Any suggestions for a newbie?

Put me down for green, assuming my gear checks out/work doesn't get in the way.

Have the following;

  • Correct uniform color, top and bottoms - hat optional but must be of same basic color as uniform, ie green or tan
  • Hydration carrier- 3 Liter camelbak highly recommended but canteens or water bottles will do.  You should at least be able to carry 2-3liters on you at all times
  • Good pair of hiking or military style Boots
  • Simple chest rig or plate carrier to hold all your mags, spare ammo and a few snacks
  • Red Death Rag - red shop rag works perfect, place rag on your head when dead so you minimize getting shot.
  • Anzi-87 impact rated googles - very important
  • Watch - important so you can follow respawn rules correctly and keep track of mission time frames
  • Magazines, ammo, mag loader, AEG and Battery and/or pistol.
  • Good Attitude and and be ready to have fun

Optional
  • Radio with or without headset system
  • Spare AEG and radio batteries
  • sunscreen

This is the bare minimum just to get started. If TPA has any special request for their game, please modify.

If your shirt is tan with tan pants you are good to go.  Gear color is usually not uniform specific unless otherwise stated, ie you can wear a green chest rig if your on tan and vice versa.

I've seen too many times where a guy wears tan pants with a black shirt, then another guy is wearing green pants and a black shirt.  If you show up like that don't be surprized to get shot alot by everyone on both sides.

-MAD- Sarge is right.  A rule of thumb is to follow the "light vs dark" approach.  To lessen confusion, a dark shirt would be with green, while lighter shirts would be with tan.

Don't wear a black shirt with *insertcolorhere* pants.  Don't wear white/snow/urban/navy camo... at all.

Follow the green vs tan approach and you will be just fine.  Keep in mind, plate carriers and vests don't count.  Just pay attention to your pants and shirt/hat.
