The items you have listed should work together.  AA offers a great list of things needed to enjoy this sport. Try this in the future : http://www.airsoftarizona.com/newbie_st ... irsoft.htm

I have found that those magazines do not like my gun which is a CA M15. I hope you have more luck than I do with them...

What kind of gun did you get, meaning tactical or carbine?  Im thinking you got a tactical since you ordered the retractable stock.  If so, this means that you will have alot of modifications to do.  The battery type is it a large or mini connection type?  It will be necessary to get the right connection.

Also goggles if you plan on skirmishing; I didn't see those on the list.  I'd also suggest (not required) a set of BDUs and some combat boots.  If you only have enough for one set, get woodland pattern.  Also, depending on the amount of magazines you are planning on carrying, a load-bearing vest of some sort and a bright rag (to show to other players that you are dead) would help.  If you're only carrying two mags, however, you may be able to get away with stuffing them in your cargos.  I think I covered everything.  Not trying to make you feel like an idiot or anything if you've already got this stuff; Hope this helps.

It is said that on the eve of battle, Dienekes was told that the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fired their volleys, the mass of arrows blocked out the sun.  \"Good,\" Dienekes laughed, \"then we\'ll have our battle in the shade.\"

Save up and buy good gear to begin with to avoid pesky failures later on.

It doesn't matter if you are a soldier or an airsofter, GEAR FAILURE SUCKS!

And stay away from hicaps!!!!!!!!!!!  If it's price you want to bitch about, get some STAR 30 rounders (10 for 40 bucks).  Yeah, that's right!

Just a Question, but why do I have to stay away from Hi-Caps. I will take your word for it and buy some of those star one's that you were talking about. Also I have BDU's since I used to play paintball. Right now I am looking into a set of Desert. I have an all black vest that I got at an Army/Navy store. It has more pockets than I need. Also I have a pair of mirrored JT Googles. I also have boots, a little bit over the ankle. I have the tactical by the way. I hope to buy a scope soon. Man am I itching to shoot this thing![:P]

STK, are those "googles" a sealed goggle system, or are they glasses? lots of pockets are good, it means you can carry lots of BBs, and extra accessories. you can never have to many pockets. USMC greg said that the star 30 round mags are great, i know i'm getting some, about 20 :D.

Some people like to use only standard mags because they are more like the real steal versions.  You have to change them out more often like in real life.  Also, the hi and mid caps have more parts to them, so they have a higher chance of malfunctioning, misfeeding, etc...they also cost more.

One major thing I noticed missing was BBs.  You'll probably want to get a bag or two of BBs, and at least one bag of .20 weight if you plan on skirmishing where they want to chrono your gun(usually done with .20s, but check with whom you are playing).  Do not reuse BBs as they get deformed and will cause nothing but havoc inside your inner barrel.

Hope this helps more than hurts

Yea I have BB's. Also Yes my gogles are sealed and have been hit by a paintball so I think they will hold for airsoft too.

Just because they've been hit and survived once doesn't mean they're impact resistant.  Do they have an ANSI rating labeled on them?  What brand/type of goggles are they?

Those are JT paintball goggles... they will work fine. Keep the full face shield around cause a lot of games say that minors need one.

As for the STAR mags- I still have a couple G&P midcaps and one hicap in my vest. The 30rd mags are fun and work well, but if everyone else you are playing with has a vest full of hicaps, you may be screwed. I would advise any newbies against getting STAR mags until you have a couple of hicaps already.
