Quickie abot trasporting a can

Is it legal to drive from AZ, through CA, to Washington with either a separate suppressor or an internally integrated suppressor?

I think since it's an NFA item you have to contact ATF if it's leaving the state. You might also check the laws of states you are traveling through as states like CA restricts cans completely.
