Hell Art, why waste money on martial arts/self defense, I have many years of self offence with plenty of ways to do some damage. I could teach you for free and its easy to learn.
Guns/weapons are not always the best answer, unless you dont have a choice. Give them time to rethink by giving them the option of walking away/letting it go, if the person refuses NEVER give them the chance to swing first.
If someone threatens to with bodily harm and you give fair warning you can "legally" beat them to "protect" yourself. Many a fight has taught me this.
I am a target just the same cause it always seems that someone has something to prove and will pick me out of a crowd to attempt to do so.
