Its not a clash of cultures..It's just when you have a bunch of kids or people coming ont oa forum that are friends in every day life they tend to talk amongst themselves and do the general BS chatter..If you wanna do it, its fine, do it on the phone, aim, msn,myspace . s*** man you can use A string with cups on each end...Just don't use the AirsoftArizona general forum to post your opinion about something then it literally adds no real content, advice, or learning to the people reading it.

And, yeah, I'm guilty of doing that once or twice ("Russian Gear" under "Accessories and Gear") but, again, I try.

I am not talking about cultures as in society, just in the context of the board. Like you said Busta, most of use this board as a tool, that has been the "culture" of the board. And the majority of us enjoys the milsim of airsoft and tries to stay within the bounds of it, which is the culture we have built on this board.  Then you have the other culture that is just chatting and BSing on the board. I was just using “cultureâ€￾ to describing the different groups on the board.

Actually, I paid for ALL of my airsoft gear by myself.  All $6000 worth throughout the years.  And what makes your opinion more important that someone that is younger?  I know a lot of people that are my age that know more about airsoft that A LOT of older players.

You're a liar. I doubt you paid for 6k. Nothing you say will change that.

I think Ben is right. He's got more say than I do. Vince does, Mike does. They're all way better than I. I've got more say than Fish and Poland.. and boominator. It's not the age, it's the experience. And it's not even if you're better than one or another. It's who knows more, who knows what works on the field and not. Don't say, "If you know more, than you're better on the field" because I know a decent amount, and I suck on the field because I never play. But, I think I've got more say than most of you 15yr kiddos.

And with that said, I Also think this thread should be locked. This is just one more "kids and airsoft" thread. Made by somebody who should have known better than to make it.

I didn't say older players, I said Senior members.

That’s great if you did pay for your own stuff, I applaud you, however, being 15 it is going to take much more to gain respect then someone who has been around for a while and has been to the AA games held every month.
I know of a few guys off the top of my head that started here when they were 15 or 16 and stayed low and just lurked until the time was right for them to say something, and they are now 18+ or maybe still under, but have gained the respect from members who attend/organize games on a frequent basis.

I started on here when I was 16, but didn't really post until a year later when I said I would go to a game.  I had absorbed as much info as possible and thought it best to go to a game, with people that frequent this board, and see of myself what it was really about.

All I’m saying is, just keep it low until you see what the game is really about, and the way it is played here at AA.  After you have come to a few unofficial, or official games(if you are of age), meet some people, check out different REAL gear, different guns people have/why they use what they use, ect., and see how people play on the field, then you may have an educated opinion/question on something worth while to post.

As has been said, lets get this thread locked, its happened many times before.
