Sorry Bro's I am Boycotting this film!!!! No one compairs my President George Bush to Darth Vader!!!

Sure, Goerge Lucas is a douche.  But I think this whole russian team thing might be turning you into a communist.  See the movie!  It's cool.

GW and Vader alike?  No, Vader is cooler.  GW is good at kicking ass, though and I will ask nothing more of him than to continue to lead this country where he has.  George Lucas is just a dickwad comparing a fake movie character (yes, it's JUST A MOVIE!) to a real person.  Ask yourself this:  Would Vader let a movie creator talk sh*t about him and allow freedom in a country where people can get away with that?  Maybe AFTER he beheaded you with a lightsaber!

Now, I am going to see it again tonight.  I will be awake this time!

HHHHMMMMMM Good point!!!! Meditate on this I must!!!

They showed the rest of the movie it was just paused for 5 minutes. It was sort of like well... a bathroom break after waiting in line all day.

Apparently you guys haven't heard about the "NEW" Patriot Act and you couldn't care less about the old one nor the US Constitution, Bill of Rights and the principles under which this nation was founded and a President who is willing to commit treason.

I think I'd take Darth Vader.  At least he didn't pretend to be somebody he wasn't.  At least maybe the sheeple would wake up.

  Yeah.  Maybe he was saving it until it was mentioned.  I lit the fire, and you poured on the gas. ;)

Let's face it leadmagnet, you love to talk politics!  Frankly, I find it interesting to discuss the parallels between scifi and reality.  After all, more times than not the stories are influenced by actual events and people.

I really don't see the similarities between Vader and GWB.  The way I see it is that if Lucas dislikes Bush so much, then why compare him to his most famous and adored character?  If he wanted to say that Bush is a Sadistic, Universe-crushing Tyrant, why not just come out and say it?  That said, he is a film maker, which = Liberal.  I was not surprised when he expressed his world views in all but one magazine interview.

Stick to entertainment, George, and leave the politics to the old Republicans!

You like to discuss politics as much as I do.  And I certainly don't fault you for it.  In that respect, you and I are much alike.

What bugs me most is people who pretend to be conservatives but who are anything but.

George Bush is a traitor to our party as well as to our nation.  I find it sad as hell that you don't recognize that.

He IS a bit off on some subjects, but I don't blame him for it.

I'm just tickled pink that we have a president that lets his soldiers do their job (and finish it for that matter!).  I loathed Clinton for his anti-war policies.  Call me a war monger, but I think we should eliminate any threat to our  Nations people.

Now, what's interesting is that some might say George Bush is a threat to our country.  In that sense I would have to disagree, but I understand the viewpoint.  I simply think that the faults pointed out by the critics are outweighed by the fact that he is proactive when it comes to our nations defense.  As a soldier, I also am pleased with the military budget that has been set forth during this and his past term.

After Clinton, I am very excited about that, no matter what his policies are on everything else!

No, it's ok as long as we relate it all to the topic title.

I didn't do that with my last post and I apologize.

Now, back to Star Wars.  How long did those of you who saw the first showing wait in line?  I bought tickets then waited in line for 2 hours to get a decent seat.  I went to Harkins Scottsdale 101 (same complex as Cine Capri), and there were alot of people dressed up in costumes.  Vader, a very realistic Darth Maul, Leia, Padme, Boba Fett (with a helmet 3 sizes too big), Mace Windu, a crapload of stormtroopers and a few others.  It was pretty cool!

Any similar experiences?

I have not been able to see the movie yet. My goal is to at least see it before LC4.

I was LANDO CALRISSIAN

In the words of Billy D: Colt 45 does it every time.

I went to the AMC 30 on 101 & I17.  Bought my tickets Wednesday morning, waited in line inside for about 30 min, then got right in and good seats.
Saw a ton of Darth Vaders, people with those badass light sabers, and a few storm troopers.  A few jedis to throw into the mix also.
 :D
