The nest is...everywhere in that building. When I was down there I saw a ton of em. That nest has got to be pretty big. Cause bees once made a nest in my backyard, and there was hundreds of them, and the nest was like two feet by two feet. They eventually attacked and killed my dog (frown) before I could get her away. Got stung once myself. But they were just normal honey bees, and they attack my dog because they were using her water dish for water, and she must have agitated them when she tried to take a drink.

I really don't think those were Africanized bees in Florence, because they attack for no good reason. I was up against the wall and they were flying around me but nothing happened. I can imagine if Mikey was attacked cause he was hanging around inside the building. But I didn't loiter around there too long and the bees left me alone. I beliece it's true that if you don't bother bees they'll leave you alone. Cause if those were true African-killer bees then someone probably would have been seriously attacked by now.

Yeah good luck. All I know is that you don't want to mess around close to the building to long to upset the bees. They're very agressive. When Mikey was stung they were attacking the foam microphone cover to his headset. There must have been 6-8 bees just hitting it over and over.
All I have to say is "BEE TACTICAL"!! Right Mikey?

They we're racist anti-Asian bee's and must be stopped!!

I still say the only way to fix that problem is to pool our money and pay the 70$ for a beekeepers suit.

Then we can remove the nest piece by piece in complete safety.

Thats no fun, and forget the bee suit.  I saw we spray the sh1t out of the place with some 'anti-bee' spray, with a running car near by and run like hell, maybe video tape it for fun!!

Like havhav said, get a few bug bombs, and toss em in there.  Or if that fails, get the anarchist's cookbook, and have some fun with it :P

Let's see we're going to set a fire, do smoke bombs.... guys that crappy little building will go up in flames! And the bees are well established; they're probably all through the ceiling like by the thousands. That building is not worth the incredible amount of energy you guys are spending and worse yet someone or a bunch of you are going to get tangled up with pissed off bees. Fun to speculate, for sure. Also as long as we stay away from the building they seem to let us alone, so we have the other place plus the dam.

I agree with Woody.

I'm no Beeologist, but if there are bees/wasps/whatever there, doesn't that mean that there is something that draws them to that building?  And short of demolishing the building, doesn't that mean whatever you do to these particular bees, others will return to take their place in the future?

Former Firefighter advice; Listen to Woody, and leave those bees the F*** alone.

The F.D. uses AFFF (Aqueous Fire Fighting Foam) and it still is a halfass job sometimes.

Don't stir 'em up, and play in the other building.

Well, someone make certain to inform me of any attacks on the bee's. I will be inside my car witrh the widows rolled up and my camera in hand to record the bravery, and any other assorted antics that might occur during The Great Florence Bee war of 2005!!

You could always try the Tremors (Spelling?) approach. Get some thick clothes, goggles, and a ski mask, and douse eachother with fire extinguishers. If I remeber correctly, bees, much like other insects or spiders judge what to sting based mostly on heat.

Wait, we have tons of vets and people serving right now, but we don't have any smoke grenades?

Ahhhh!  Terrorist Bees! Sounds like a job for.... DALE GRIBBEL!
