Need your help to create the first zine devoted to airsoft fields.

SimSoldiers:
Hey players,

My name is James. I live in Tempe (about two blocks away from Tempe Paintball to be exact!). I am designing, compiling and editing a zine called the Simsoldiers Fieldbook.

Simsoldiers Fieldbook will contain in-depth tactical information about airsoft fields for players who are looking to play a proactive role in their own competitive development and the development of the teams. Each issue uses a fps strategy guide approach that focuses on fields that are exciting to play and well planned, covering a gamut of indoor and outdoor fields from cqb to long-range that are a cut above the rest in terms of playability, maneuverability, and course design. In addition, Simsoldiers Intel presents technical features on field subjects, in-depth map illustrations, field reviews, field-play tips, and interviews with the people who design and play the field.

Below is a link to a few of the early design spreads I’ve been working on. It’s still in its early stages. If this is something you might be interested in, please join my email list at http://www.simsoldiers.com. I’m using this a a way to gauge interest. If I get enough people interested, I will definitely be going forward with this idea. Your support is crucial. I can’t do it without you guys.

Thanks for your time fellas. This has been a dream of mine for a while now and something I think would be useful to all you tactical players out there. I hope you feel the same. If you have any questions or comments don’t hesitate to ask.

DesertRush:
Great designing on your other ones.

bailey5671:
Will ALL the fields available for airsoft in arizona be covered? because I would love one of these books just for a good read.

SimSoldiers:
Hey Bailey and Desert Rush,

Thanks for your comments fellas!

Bailey: When I originally came up with the idea, I wanted to do a travel guide series that would cover fields in each state. After a bit of research, the cost seemed a bit to high. Currently I'm, thinking about having a zine that would cover each field at a time. I think this would make it more affordable and I could provide more in-depth coverage of each location.

In terms of the other ones which I think your referring to Desert Rush, this would actually be the first. I did a mock version for some contacts that I know at Spartan Imports who said they would be interested in distributing it. Since most of the airsoft fields and industry resides in SoCal, I was originally thinking of starting there. I've since change my mind on that, and I want to do something that will first cultivate the community/state that I'm apart of and live in. This is why I came to you all!

BTW, those designs were early drafts. The new ones I'm working on are sick! Thanks again for the feedback. I'll be provide more updates via my mailing list if anyone is interested in staying up-to-date on the project.

Sounds like a sick idea. Just curious, are you going to ASU for an art degree?
