Title: A new CQB Arena.
Post by: Ocean on March 23, 2010, 06:52:37 PM
Hello guys...I have some great news. My Father has leased out a building to a person..That person has told my Dad that he will be making it into a CQB Airsoft Arena. I believe it is 30,000 Square Feet. The estimated open time is in May 2010.
This is not a fake, it is totally Legit!

NOTICE: This is not the same Arena as CQB AZ, these are two different owners.

Are you referring to the Vanguard Indoor Playground?

I do not have the exact name of what it will be called, but the location will be at Val Vista & Baseline Rd. The building is one story, and it is a very expensive peace of real estate. Any extra information will be posted when received.

Its probably the Vanguard one then(vanguards located on val vista and baseline) and thats right next to where I live!

It is Vanguard. It s an 18000 sq ft building. 13000 for the field area, and 5000 for a place to pay/put gear. I talked to them today and they are hoping to be open in June. FPS limit is going to be 330 with .2s. I was told the facility is going to be modeled like the shopping center where the store is located with Val Vista and Baseline running through the middle. So far they have put down concrete to level out the floor but none of the buildings have been built. That's allni know.

Any reason the velocity limits will be set at 330fps rather then 350?

I believe that is just what has been set around the area.

I know some places in California go up to 350fps w/ .20g

Probably because at that close of range 330 is still hitting HARD. I have a cracked knuckle to prove it. Most CQB places don't have a minimum engagement distance so you get newer players spraying you in the back of the head, from 10 feet, on full auto, till the mag is empty.
This was brought up many times with the guys at CQBAZ, and it all comes down to safety.  If you say why not 350 than why not 375 and if we are at 375 why not 400???? A limit has to be set and enforced at some point. I myself would have no problem with 300 W/0.2. I have seen people be very successful using AEP’s at CQBAZ the those things are SLOW.

Are you kidding me? 330 w/.2g is perfect. Anything over would be ridiculous to be shot with at such close ranges. While the facility won't be set up like a room-to-room field, it'll still have some close spots where you're bound to get shot within a foot or so.

If you're thinking why is it not like California's CQB FPS limit, 350 w/.2g, (To my understanding), it's because they have bigger facilities that have more open space for what you can call "long range" shooting for CQB. So there isn't as many players being shot at within a foot or so.

Post by: steyraug223 on March 24, 2010, 12:39:49 PM
It's all about what makes the field owners happy. I know a few places out here (Cali) that are 350, though at the same time I have played a CQB field that had a max of 400. To me there is no difference in the pain level, you are still getting shot a lot, very close, but it would be a safety thing. Can your eye protection REALLY handle 6-10 rounds at near point blank?

What are the restrictions on full auto going to be? Also will the lighting be adjustable? (playing games with the lights out in CQB is awesome) The more information the better!

I have to completely agree though... if you aren't confident of your eyepro's ability to protect your eyes... you need to get better eyepro.

Z87.1-2003+ will take rounds at 600+fps for multiple impacts with little to no permanent damage.
That plus is really important for airsoft, as Z87.1 without the + is guaranteed to stop one shot, they may break after that initial impact.

either way, im going to be practically living there.

regrettably i need a new cqc rig now ;___; i traded my old weapon away, i wonder what i should get...

my ak74 might be appropriate, with its folding stock and such. a machine-pistol or SMG would be ideal though

Yes mine can, however my point is have you tested your rig and safety gear to make sure it will stand up? Will your removable lense shift in the goggle frame? Will your shemagh really offer any protection? That's what I meant. Gear needs to be PERSONALLY tested, and beyond just your eye protection.

And definitely the best CQB weapon in my eyes is the short AK74. It's solid enough to take some of the banging around that comes with CQB, but yet it's comfortable enough to be used for long periods of time without the stock.

I've tested my gear out personally and can say i have no issue relying on my gear. You may be right though. Every one should test their gear just like every one should be shoot with their own gun before they are allowed to use it on any one. That way it prevents some one doing something stupid because they know how it will feel. Every gun I've ever owned I've been shot with before i shoot any one.

But that's Vanguard's choice.

I'm pretty sure full face mask is required. And that does not mean a shemagh pulled up over your face.

I fully support having games reffed.
Although the game is a game of honor, Some people do cheat. Honestly, I don't see why anyone would a problem with it if they play a fair game.

Refs aren't going to stop cheating IMO. They discourage it yes, but honestly the guys who want to cheat are going to. Period.

I do like the level of involvement it seems like they are going to be taking though!

Any ways, refs are a good thing. Makes it hard for cheaters to cheat and in turn makes it not so much fun for cheaters.

I find it funny that this place hasn't even opened it's doors and people are complaining about rules that may or may not even be written. IF it opens I'll check it out and follow the rules they inforce for their facility. My experiance has been that indoor arena's don't hang around very long. I do wish the owners the best of luck and appreciate anyone who invests in our hobby.

Yes they are supposedly relocating, but they have become totally unreliable. The site says they are relocating and to email them if you have any questions.... They do not respond and who knows how long it has been since they have actually updated the site. Right now, I do not believe they will re-open. Just my opinion.

It was supposed to be sarcasm?

Honestly it's a pleasant day dream and no more, however there are times when a person can be hit, and not know it. With the amount of gear carried, I know that I have been guilty of not feeling a hit when my mags get hit and similar. There are legitimate reasons to call another persons hits, even if I don't like it.

the good thing about CQB is that theres usually not that much room, so you know when your hit.. either you feel it, or see the person shooting you

compared to playing in a field with a good 70 or 80 feet between you and your target...

NEW INFO!

The scheduled opening date will be 1st of July. It will be 14,000 Square Feet. The way it will look inside will be like a street. It will have buildings(One will be called "Brys", Get it? "Frys,Brys"......Fun.), so it will be easy to call where enemies are.

In case you were wondering the paintball field will be 4,000 Square Feet.

Price would be nice, and memberships would be even better. Hopefully they will be open till about 2100 or 2200 because I typically get out of work around 1900. Also, I wonder if they would offer renting the place out for parties, etc., so I could probably hold team building events for work etc.. I know lots of guys who would totally be into this.

The problem for finding out the cost and if you could rent guns and all kind of stuff like that is, that my Dad is only associated with the guy who leased the building. Not the owner of actual Vangaurd. I have asked my Dad to talk to his friend and ask the owner to give him some info, but I can't promise anything.

As of right now they are still working out pricing, so if you hear anything not told to you by an Vanguard employee, it's probably just a rumor.

So i went to vanguard today, so ill share info.
The place looks fantastic, almost ALL the walls are up.
The fps system will work like this:
green izp tie- under 320fps ish
yellow- inder 350
red- over 350

"green" game will have only guns fitting green zips, "yellow" game is yellow and green sips, etc.

What??  So If I roll in with a hot gun shooting 450fps and get a red zip tie I can play in only Red games or I'm good to play against anybody with a green or yellow zip tie?

I don't see why they don't just set a limit and make sure people chrono under the limit like any other place? Changing a spring isn't that big of a deal.

well, it's going to work somewhat like this;

on a game by game basis, there will be a survey taken of who is using what velocity weapons, the game(s) following will be like this..

if there are a majority of players using green-tier weapons, only green will be allowed

if there are a majority of players using yellow-tier weapons, green AND yellow will be allowed

later in the night, more adults come out and there could possibly be a majority of red-tier weapons.. if so, red, green and yellow would be allowed on the field

that is what i gathered when we met with the staff..however the actual procedure might deviate from what i have written. i hope it answers your question! i personally wouldn't mind playing with all red-tier weapons
Title: Re: A new CQB Arena.
Post by: rmwilson90 on June 26, 2010, 03:17:12 PM
I definitely wouldn't mind playing with all red-tier weapons too. IMO as long as everybody playing is fine with getting shot by high power guns (within reason), then they should be allowed for use.

It's super overkill..

I can't understand why there just isn't a single FPS limit like what is used at other CQB fields and outdoor games for that matter?

Last time I checked you could buy a velocity reducer for $20 which is around the same as a new spring.

I'm not sure I want to get shot in the neck from 3 feet away at a corner by a 400fps gun.  I've been shot at 320 in the neck from 10 feet away at CQBaz and let me tell you it sucks.

Oh well should be interesting...

who knows, there is no guarantee that they aren't going to decide on a single velocity limit once the time comes.. most of this is speculation  :D

However much I agree with you, about it being there first venture, that is exactly why you need to have your s#it together and figure it out well in advance.
I would NEVER drop that kind of money on something without having it ALL planned out before I raised my first wall. To be quite honest if I wanted airsofters to come and play I would have said “ Hello air soft community we are _________ and we are opening a new facility. We are planning for it to be_______ and the rules are as follows_________.

Now how hard was that? All we have now is a LOT of hearsay and speculation. You already have people saying that they will NOT go because of _________. NO one knows and that is bad for business. Will you still get people yes. But will you still get the most people that you could have with just a bit of communication? NO.

We are already speculating (or have been for the last few months) on FPS. If it IS over 330 I won’t go. I got the bone in my knuckle BROKEN from 15 feet away from a guy shooting 330. Anything higher is just a law suit waiting to happen. Yes they will have you sign a waiver but they aren’t worth the paper they were written on. This just doesn’t sound like smart business to me.

I hope they open and it’s everything everyone wants and more. I hope they do a great business and make tons of money but with NO communication and everyone saying “ well I heard this and I heard that” all you are doing is hurting the business before they even open the doors. If you want to help them out you need to tell them to get on the forums and start talking to the people that are going to pay the bills and keep the lights on for them, the airsofting community.

Even CQBAZ had the word out BEFORE they opened the doors. They had the rules and prices posted before the BETA night. I’m not saying that they are them but since they aren’t around anymore they really need to see what they did right and what they did wrong. Or they could be gone in less than a year as well. Worse yet they will open it to paint ballers….
End of rant! (Gets off soap box)

@bigwavedave A velocity reducer?? Never seen/heard of such a thing O.o.... but yeah I think they should just make a flat limit of 330 or max 350. 400 fps in the neck from 3 feet away I would imagine to be QUITE painful, as well as rather bloody and possibly even hospitalizing? >< I suppose it's still all speculation for now, so we'll see how things turn out. If they're gonna allow guns that hot in there though, I might have to rethink going....

Muzzle reducer  Think of a mouse pad cut into into a X where the BB contacts right in the middle once it contacts it take some of the speed out of the BB thus reducing the FPS. Its not really worth the money to buy one cause once a host see's it he knows that your gun is hot and is going to not let people play. besides if i really wanted to i would chrono with it on then secretly take it off. so its kinda pointless. In my honest opinion

And you think the neck hurts at that range. Try getting it in the bridge of your nose at that speed. Drew blood and looked like i went ten rounds with tyson for a week

put the tip of your barrel against the back of their vest and say bang. if they have time to turn around and shoot you before you pull the trigger, you should find a new hobby ;)

On the subject of the 'bang' idea, it works great for fields (me and my friends use it when we airsoft), but in a cqc place like that, you're pretty much always within 5 feet of someone, so it wouldn't really work. The whole game would turn into a bunch of people trying to shout bang first. :P

I'm pumped. I hope Vanguard gets the Opening Day info on their website soon.

It's a 60mi. round trip from here to the indoor field, but if it's as cool as I expect, I'll be there at least once a week, work permitting  ;)

Well, maybe having to buy the field's ammo will cut the spray and pray some. 'Sides, outside of occasional cover fire, it's a better game and tactics to pick your target and aim your shots.

I like games with limited ammo myself, but defeating campers with a six-zillion round mag is always possible, given the situation.

-I'm gonna have a problem if there's a no-hicap rule. My UMG has just a hicap. However, with limited ammo (100rd to start), I hope they let me play with it.

Just having a hicap mag doesn't mean filling the thing.

a problem your going to have with a highcap is that if there is a 100 rd rule, most of those rounds are going to be impossible to use due to the charachteristics of a highcap... especially with a umg mag

There IS NOT a rule on mag capacities yet, so dont worry  :)
If you only have 1 hi cap maybe consider buying more mags?

Why not just Invest in midcaps anyway? Airsoft would is way more enjoyable when everyone  uses them. A couple people just unloading hi caps take away the strategic part of the game.

I agree. My UMG came to me used w/ three something-like-500rd hicaps. I'll see if I can scrounge some lowcaps before the game, that or use the pistol.

I went and talked to an employee there and he said there is no rule for magazine capacity. They don't care if it's a normal high cap, mid cap, standard, or drum mag. As long as you use their ammo then it doesn't matter what magazine you put it in.

In my honest opinion having hicaps doesnt really matter theres pros and cons for the different magazine types. Based on the pictures I've seen, If you camp in a CQC area you're most likely be flanked. Having experience at diff cqb arenas in CA gives me this view. Understandable that hi cap users will spray and pray but that doesnt mean you wont have a  fighting chance. If all odds against you and you succeed then you increase your skill in this tactical situation. Having non winding mags benefit by making your movement quiet and an advantage while flanking. But seriously having a lot of people playing bbs will always fly hicap or not.

I've played cqb arenas from Philppines, Hong Kong, and California. Simple babble pros use mid caps amateurs use whatever. Perfectly fine as long as you play with integrity and as a gentleman it'll be worth the experience.

Hahahaha I like that idea Armalite... Only if the drum mag is gold too though... And what's the real point of mid-cap mags?? People don't save any more ammo in my opinion, they just carry 20 of them around instead of 1 hahaha.

Decent website lets hope they put some chrono rules up soon.  I also heard rumors that they are going to allow rubber paintballs and airsofters to play at the same time= SUPERLAME, but this is just a rumor unless somebody knows for sure.

BTW .. the whole full auto thing for CQB is really pointless and therefore you don't really need a high cap magazine.

Most all the games played at CQBaz were semi only.

Title: Re: A new CQB Arena.
Post by: VTT on August 05, 2010, 05:54:13 PM
$20 is a lot of money but you also have to look at it from the business standpoint. They aren't open many hours of the week at all and they still have to pay full rent. So they probably won't be making money off this CQB place for a while. They also offer a membership for the year if you plan on going a lot. The membership is kind of high priced too though in my opinion lol. But I understand why it is like that.

As for fps limits, the link above says green is 330fps, yellow 350fps, and red 380fps (18yrs. +). I think it would be a lot less complicated if they just made it 330fps max though... How are they going to divide the field for people with 380fps and for people with 330fps? It's a thoughtful idea but I don't think it will stay like that.
Title: Re: A new CQB Arena.
Post by: armalite attack on August 05, 2010, 05:56:51 PM
$20 is fine but if it was all day it would be more reasonable.
Title: Re: A new CQB Arena.
Post by: VTT on August 05, 2010, 06:00:24 PM
I agree with armalite. Because they would still make money off the BB's they make you buy.

But that would also cost them more to keep it open that long. And with less hours it means that during those hours there will be more people playing at once than if it were open the entire day.

Ok i am an employee of V.I.P. so this is not just random speculation.

There is not an official opening day yet because we are still waiting on a few permits/ok's from the city of gilbert, fire department etc. As soon as we have an official opening date i will post it up here.

The new website has been posted so please refer to that. Everything that is posted on the new website vipairsoft.net is current. Everything else you guys have questions on, where the answers are not posted on the website, are still in the works and are not finalized yet so please hold tight.

Once everything is finalized i will post up rules/ opening date etc. up here and i will be able to answer your guys' questions.

If you have any suggestions or questions please pm me!

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris, thanks for getting on here with the straight skinny.
Your website type color is too pale to see. I'm hoping to play there around six times a month. Saturdays and Sundays. Hopefully there'll be a core group of players at those times to make for a decent game.

Good luck with the field.

Place seems sweet. New website is awesome, though it'll be a lot more awesome once the other half of it is done being finalized :P. $20 for 4 hours equates to $5 an hour....pricey to say the least, in my opinion. Of course, I still wanna go at least once to see how I like it, but if I do end up liking it, that's gonna be a problematic continuing expense ><. I'd consider membership if it dropped the price dramatically, but you only get like $5 off admission with it, so eh. I still vote for a dedicated airsoft store and field in the Scottsdale area X). Hey, people there have money, so you'd think it would do well! Lol anyways, I'm sure Vanguard will be fun ^^.
Title: Re: A new CQB Arena.
Post by: TMills on August 06, 2010, 12:49:27 AM
Pricey? Yes. But they went all out on this field, so it should be worth it.

That's just about the same price for a game at Marauders, Fightertown, or Cow Town. But this is indoors, and is a lot closer for most people. You have to estimate the cost of gas into this equation also. Round trip to any of the places listed above is no 5 minute car ride down the street like Vanguard is, especially when we usaually go in either my brothers car (15 mpg on the highway) or worse, my truck (12 mpg on the highway). That's just the way I look at it. Sometimes we get lucky and can catch a ride with Chris ^^ and get some ridiculous gas mileage on the highway. The fact that it is 4 miles down the road is a big plus for me. I can drive my diesel whore down there for almost nothing, and have longer sustained game time because we are not being affected by the heat in the summer and cold in the winter. To me, this is one way to justify the price.

Don't get me wrong though, I love all the outdoor places too and I will still frequent them as well.

I do agree, it hurt a little inside when i heard 20 for 4 hours. Marauders' Statewide assault arena was 20 for 8 hours, but still Vanguard DID go all out and it should be incredible. But still... 20... 4 hours...

I really like CQB indoors. From the 80's-on, I've played at several indoor Paintball and Airsoft places, here, Tucson, and Las Vegas. ALL went belly-up inside of a year's time.

Vanguard's taking a big leap here. -The trick is to get a steady flow of regular players. Nothing sucks more from our side of this than to travel many miles to play there, only to find two or three opponents. They have a big electric bill as well as monthly square-foot lease fee and salaries for the employees. -Add in insurance, etc.. It's a Hard Dollar.

I love this kind of game enough that I plan to be there at least three weekends a month. I would hope that there's a core group of players that can decide on a day and time to all get together and rock out. My work leaves me free on any Sunday and every other Saturday.

Believe me, 20 bucks a session plus 10 extra for another is a good deal. It's a bottom-line price for something like this to stay in business.

I agree, and i'm not necessarily complaining. I understand they need to make a profit, but $20 for 4 hours.....That's over the top, I wouldn't mind the $20 for 8 hours. That makes more sense. Whether or not they are expensive, I will still go and will go religiously due to me loving the game. If you love the game, you need to make a sacrifice to enjoy it.

That's the spirit Ocean. -Go a few times and see how intense it is! A good game with 20-or-so players dukin' it out in a big maze will leave you sweating. A few hours of it is satisfying to many people.

Also, think of the gas you save (especially the East-Siders)..

That's easy

1. Profit they have to make money somehow
2. High insurance rates my guess

i might be driving down from colorado to come play, i regret that i'm missing our team's sneak peek though.. i'll be there in spirit!

edit: for everyone who is bitching about prices; you are getting what you pay for.. have you seen this place yet??

get a job, learn to budget, and stop complaining... if you can pay more then $20 to play MTT-hosted games (that is not a dig against MTT in any way, shape, or form..), you should have no problem paying $20 to play at a brand new climate controlled venue..

it's been said before, but.. other fields are at least an hour away from the east valley, and charge $10-$15 or even more depending on the event.. you are saving money with vanguard, depending on where you live, and what you drive.. plus the climate control! come on guys.. think logically

Yes your right CQBAZ was WELL priced $20 dollars got you to play all day and a 1000 bbs to start off with. Not to be a dick or anything but the last time I checked they were no longer in business either. For this business to attempt stay in business for more then a year there going to have to be profitable. $25 dollars to play a 4 hr block including 1000 bbs to start isn't that bad!! The only concern that I do have is Vanguard hasn't even posted up there house rules or exactly how they are going to be running the FPS caps. Are they going to divide the field for the lower FPS to play at the same time as the higher FPS guys. Are the higher FPS guys going to have to sit out a few games to let the lower FPS guys play? If so then yes depending on the length of the games you might have something to complain about.

I am stoked they are opening this weekend, I will definitely be going! however I still have my concerns as most of you probably do as well but cost is not one of them!

*steps off soap box*  :)

For the people going, I hope once you get home you get on the computer and tell everyone about your experience. Pros and Cons. I'm sure people who haven't gone yet would love to know what it's like over there.

Well just played there with a few people. We were there for a preview and to help them train the staff. Field is fucking amazing. Top notch. You could tell they were getting used to running airsoft games, but by the end of the night they worked out most of the kinks. Brian and the staff are very accomadating and I can't wait to play there on a regular basis.

On another note, Steelworks who is "sponsored" by vanguard was supposed to be there, and we didn't see any of them...

But anyways, just glad to get the exclusive sneak peek. You can all be jealous now.

Yea it was nice playing with you guys. I was the guy with Marpat by the way. The field is amazing, but personally after playing tonight I can see it will be very confusing when a lot of people are playing. We played games with 5 on 5, 6 on 6 maybe, but most of them were smaller games and it was still a bit confusing trying to tell who was on what team. I personally like the semi auto game in the beginning. I didn't like the full auto as there were too many richochets. The field is a good field but the guys who I play with have a rule where we call eachother out within 15 ft and that's all I could think about when playing there so I was a little hesitant on shooting at that close.

You could tell the staff wasn't used to running airsoft games, but as the night went on they worked everything out. The staff is pretty lucky to have bright shirts or they would have gotten shot a lot. The staff is trying to figure out a way to tell what team is which. I was shot by teammates at least twice. If they don't figure out by the weekend and you have any ideas, I'm sure they will listen. We gave them ideas like tape on the arm, different color masks, camo vs non-camo, and a few others. Can't remember them all.

I plan on going there when there isn't a lot of people, so on weekdays. I had fun tonight even though I know I won't like CQB as much as field play. And where was steelworks? I know a few of us wanted to play them.

Steelworks doesn't need to apologize. Everybody that went last night was under the assumption that you guys were showing up. A few of us were just looking forward to playing you all.

Again this field is nice. I didn't shoot more than 100 rounds because everybody I "killed", I just went behind them and called them out. Pistols will work really well in this field as it's pretty much a giant killhouse. I might go Saturday to check it out and get some video maybe, but it all depends on if work needs me.

Hey, that place rocks. Went there for a few hours today, and it was run-and-gun fast! The staff are new to airsoft but were helpful and let everyone play hard. (For you young guys, check out the female employees ..nuff' said)..

The maze is built well, and the gunplay is furious. You'll work up a sweat each game just from the intenseness of it. Don't worry about cammies, won't help you anymore than street gear.

..Actually, it's my real name  8)

There were about eight on each side the last game I played today. This joint would be insane fun with around 15+ players on each side. As it was, each match lasted 5, 10 minutes tops. The maze is hard to just "camp" in.. Whoever designed it made sure you could get shot from at least two directions (Sometimes three or four) at any place there. -Gotta keep moving!

It's easy to get turned around in there. I shot the same guy twice in about a minute..-He headed for an exit after I blasted him, got lost and wandered right in front of me again OOPS.
Heh heh..

Okay, I hope we can keep a "Who's coming" roster for each weekend there. Everybody getting together on the same day gives the game a WHOLE new flavor.

today was green tier only, but you guys this place is fricken AMAZING! plenty of places to hide as well as get around that pesky guy shooting down a hall. JUST WATCH FOR friendly FIRE! *cough* chip *cough* LOL
i know i shot a few friendlies (like 2 or 3)  :-"  but i got shot by friendlies like 6 or 7 times at least. But the field is amazong by all means and no need for cammo! the whole place is bright green red blue and tan so camo wont work unless you have red green blue or tan camo  [smilie=armata_pdt_02.gif]
but other than that the snack bar is great and the refs all do their job putting their hide on the line keeping everything ship shape! all in all i give it 5 stars and two welted thumbs up!  [smilie=armata_pdt_06.gif]

love always

By all means this place is AWESOME! The refs did a wonderful job rotating the games as fast as they could as well as switching the games up so it would not be so monotonous. The maze is amazing, like Chip said, Bryan made sure that your butt could get blasted from multiple angles so you best keep moving! I was there from 9am (hanging out until they opened) until 8pm and played hard every round. I am extremely tired, but well worth it and well worth the money spent. To all those at VIP, I tip my hat to you. Phenomenal job.  :D

Thanks to all who came out on opening day. I hope you all thoroughly enjoyed playing at V.I.P.
It was all-in-all a great first day for what hopes to be the best cqb arena in AZ. Thanks for all the positive comments about us ref's on the field. It was pretty much the first day for all of us ref's and the good comments mean a lot. We try are best out there to keep the games running smoothly and get new games on the field as quickly as possible.

As always for those of you who played this weekend we are always open to suggestions. So if you have any please pm me or talk to someone at the field and we will take any suggestion into consideration.

Once again thanks to everyone who was there on opening day! i hope you all had a great day of airsoft and hope to see you back on the field again!!!

Thanks

The field is awesome I was there for  2 hours ( I was the guy in the tan face mask). The refs explained each game and you always knew what was going on. Games lasted around 7 minutes depending on the responds. The rental guns are full metal echo1 m4s, or mp5s. I used the m4 and it was good. In two hours i used about 200 bbs. My friend and I just gave away the extras. The only problem was telling who was on what team. It wasn't that bad I only was shot by my team mates once. They used caution tape around your arm or played camo vs t-shirts. but you always had to watch what was going on. They switched up the games every time. I played capture the flag, domination, protect a leader, hostage and more. I will definitely go back a lot and if you haven't gone yet you should go.

Nice playing with you today. I was the guy with the darker camo and the two pistols. It was a lot of fun today running around with just pistols. The games were great and the refs did a great job again.

I was there today for the whole day, (I was the guy with the 1911 Blowback W/E Gas Pistol who carried the bomb and such). It was a blast.

The rentals were great, they shoot from around 300-320 and worked perfectly fine.
The refs were great, they explained all the games thoroughly. They also made sure everyone was safe and all.
It was very hard to tell which teammates were mine, but all was good.
I can't wait to go again!

^^^^^it is paint free. They might do re-ball but that would only happen if someone rents the place out and wants to do that. According to chrism on the forums.

I've been 4 or 5 times now hahaha. I don't think I'll be airsofting outdoors much anymore. CQB is better in every way in my opinion. If you can see them, you can hit them. It's also wayyyy faster paced. I also think they use .25g bbs so that's a +. It does get expensive after a week straight of going there but it's been worth it every time!

This place does look pretty cool, might go there in the next few weeks, but does anyone know how much rifle rental is? if they have it.
