General Airsoft Game Discussion / Less Outdoors Operations
« on: February 22, 2004, 12:59:25 PM »
Someone needs to organize a CQB operation, not a small scale one, I am talking about a huge scale one. I am talking about something like a big office building or something with alot of rooms in it. 15-20 floors in the building at least. Could run hostage rescue where the assaulting team has no idea where the hostage is. In a office building with 20 floors there will be dozens of rooms to clear out, especially if its a office building there will be MANY partitions, would be fun to battle it out in such close quarters. Hostage rescuers would have to search for a long time to find the hostages, operation could last hours if the hostage takers placed men in good defensive positions. Probably one sniper on roof to take out a few guys in first few moments of operation. Point is, a cqb operation on a huge scale should be given a chance. Most special forces missions are cqb, outdoors are usually left to the regular army. Which is why the news is always reporting on how the marines suck at door to door fighting in Iraq. The rental of such a huge building may be alot but if there are at least 200 people assaulting the building and 80 guys defending with a 100 dollar entrance fee. Thats a total of 28,000.

Of course most people have their guns at 400 fps so it may be a problem for this. Also use of flashbangs should be considered or the assaulters would get raped?

I have always wanted to play a cqb op, maybe someone will invest into this?

Also alot more strategizing in this kind of situation, planning will take a long ass time, first probably be best if the assaulting team had their snipers watch the windows to try to predict where the hostages and hostages can also be moved around so the hostage takers will be able to move the hostages down to levels of the building that have already been cleared to confuse them. Use of the headsets will be essential to winning, especially the snipers outside will need to report movement they see? The hostage takers could also have another objective of escaping the building and reaching a certain objective to count as a win for them?

Is it legal to just remove the fire mode selector while it is left in semi?

If you are using a mp5 high cap it may be misfiring because the mag is loose, try putting tape at the top to make it a tighter fit. Also if your hicap mag jams and will not wind again, it is because you overwinded it. To fix this you might disassembly the mag and release the little metal hook that is holding the gear of the hicap, this will release all the tension of the previous winds you did.

My opinion would be the Mk1 Carbine Gas sniper. Stock right off the shelf it shoots 425 fps and has a range of 250 feet. At 200 feet it will be able to hit 2 inch radius of where you aim. Very good sniper rifle altho it is ugly. I havent heard of any AEG being able to go 250 feet, this is a major advantage. And also these cost only 70-80 dollars. They are gas NON blowbacks

Yea they can but like after like 1000 everything gets all worn down sometimes breaks and sometimes the version 2 gearbox even cracks. Version 3 is soo much better, it will handle like m120 and never need to change a single part after like 5000 shots, and version 3 boxes never crack not even with m130.

I have gone thru a few KWCs pistols, overall they are very nice, especially the 1911 with the compensator and the beretta(heavy). However they are not very practical to get, if something breaks they dont sell any parts for them and extra clips are hard to find. Just pay an extra 10 to get a KJW.

Yea, if you are looking for MP5K go for the tokyo marui ones, CA, ICS dont make these so I guess its safe to say that tokyo marui is the ONLY way to go

Durability wise, the MP5K is probably better than the other MP5's, the other MP5s use the version 2 gearbox which is an older design, the MP5K uses the version 3 gearbox. Keep in mind that Version 3 gearboxes can handle a m120 spring with just metal bushings. Version 2 will need an FTK or most parts from an FTK to handle m120 springs. The design of the version 3 is much better than version 2. However the size of the mp5k and short barrel may turn some people down, but it is great for cqb. I dont own one, but I know the differences in gearboxes and thats just my opinion.
