Cool place for large event? Info please
« on: September 27, 2008, 06:12:21 PM »
I am new in Arizona I am from Illinois. I worked on planning such events as codename Thunder and codename dragon. Well since I have been here I have realized that no one has organized us as airsofters. So I am going to attempt to do so as I did in Illinois. Myself and other planners of kicka#@ events from the midwest are going to plan one here in Feb of 2009. If anyone out there can make any suggestions as to where to go to for a multiple terrain event that can suit about 500 players please let me know. This event will be 36 hr. scenario and will have pyrotechnics military vehicles, the works I can promise you all that you wont be disappointed. If you can help out or assist in finding location I will see to it that you get some free passes and gear. Please respond with any info to candysign@aol.com or (480) 361-5345

Thanks - David

1. Who the fuck are you?

2. Where did you read that we don't have an organization?

3. What gives you the right to "organize" us?

You got any links to stuff on the web where we can read about those games?
Sounds like you are describing Airsoft Challenge events...

I haven't seen any reviews from reputable people about this event. it sounds and looks much like large scale paintball events, retooled for airsoft.

There are far too few areas in AZ that would be suitable for this kind of thing, and few federal lands that would allow this kind of thing. We know the military vehicle club dudes, so any vehicles would be either shipped in from Ill or from a group we don't know about. Pyro is out of the question, AZ burns unlike Ill. They allow players 13ys+ (that kinda says it all), cost is $70-95.

Talk to the guys with Combat Challenge. Start there and see what you can come up with, I know the Arizona Army National Guard is always trying to lend a hand.

The nice thing about AZ games is they aren't oversized, over the top, and out of control. Logistically speaking I have no clue how you'd fit 500 people playing airsoft anywere outside of Camp Navajo.

And please don't even try to push organized mumbojumbo on us, we're a red state and don't take kindly to socilized airsoft

What an inauspicious start!

*grabs popcorn*

I can't wait to see where this goes. Will OP start coming in with an attitude or will he try diplomacy?

I was in Court all day so I have my *nice* hat on ...

ok now its off.

Hey tossfuck... many of us have already been to 500 plus player events with A List military VIPs and really cool players.  And no paintball mentality either.

WTF do you mean we are not organized???

You just dont have access to the *super secret squirell* forums.

I have a good location for you .. back where you come from.

You have zero chance at ever deserving any respect in this house.....
