The main thing that deters me from firing Wolf is the crap it leaves in the weapon afterwards.  It burns dirty and leaves the weapon dirty.  A big deal?  No, just a personal preference.

If you don't clean your weapon after every range outing, then that's a legitimate reason not to use Wolf.   :P

Really?? I NEVER clean any of my guns, except my carry gun.  Once they start 'jamming' (which has never happened) then I'll clean them.  I've put at least 3,000 rnd of Wolf through my Olympic Arms AR, never had a jam and it cycles just fine.

Andy.  There are times you scare me.  ;)

Just get some of the CLP Break Free Powder Blast stuff, and blast everything out.  That stuff kicks ass, gets rid of all the grime, then add a little lube, clean the barrel, and throw her back together  :D

...Though going through a can of that stuff after every outing does kind of get annoying...

The only ammo I've seen that is a problem (gumming up the gun) is lead, I shoot 'molly coated' lead in my pistol, its a little dirty, but no where near as dirty as lead.  Hops #9 is the best cleaning solution I've ever used, some people say they use carb cleaner, I've heard that can screw up the finish on your gun.

A little bit of hot soapy water and then Hoppes #9.  Never need anything else to clean my gun with.  :)

Yeah, the Lake City factory also makes Rold Gold Pretzels.

Don't believe everything you see on the interweb.
