Reasons For Playing Airsoft
« on: December 16, 2004, 10:45:23 PM »
I'm trying to convert alot of paintball players here in Havasu to Airsoft and maybe some other people. I'd like to compile a list of why people play airsoft.

Well, even though I haven't played airsoft yet, the main reason I'm switching over is because of...

1: Less pain (I'm 12 years old, paintballs hurt   )
2: More realistic. Running around with a brightly colored "marker" with a big hopper sticking out the top and a huge CO2 tank coming out the back is not realistic.
3: Ammo is less expensive. Even though starting out is expensive, at least the ammo doesnt cost a lot. In paintball, 2000 rounds of good paint will cost about 60 bucks. In airsoft I usually see 2000 good BB's for 10 bucks.

You just about nailed all my reasons! [smilie=armata_pdt_34.gif]

I have played paintball and must say, there is no mess with airsoft. Also airsoft doesn't mark up the surrounding area and leave bright colored stuff all over structures and vegetation.

Everyone says the paint just washed off, however it doesn'e after being backed on by the arizona sun. (example : The ruins at SASCO)

Who likes to aim at a 45 degree angle, lean up against a building and get covered in paint anyway.  The funniest thing about paintball guns is that some have sights on them, I've never seen one fire accurately round after round.

I havent played paintball since I picked up an AEG!

One of the biggest things I hated about paintball was the ability shoot around corners, tippman 98s  flatline barrel ruined the game for me!!!

Well all I know is that when I play paintball and see a guy holding down the trigger on his fully automatic gun with the paint canister open on top and he's just holding a bottle over it and pourin'em in while he shoots non-stop, and I get covered in paint before I can get off three shots at him...ummm, I think I'll try something where people actually win without cheating and and loser doesn't get covered in messy paint.

(Besides, it's really anoying when the paintball breaks inside your barrel so your gun is jammed until you take it apart and clean it real good)
